That's good stuff. Drink the dark stuff straight, by the way, not with a mixer. That's the cuban tradition. Why not say Cuban? (Not stirring up sh**, just asking).

It is great stuff. Drank a couple of cases on our way to Panama a few years back. Found it on the gulf side of Mexico (Veracruz) but havn't seen it on the west coast.

Havana Club aint bad but for my money I try these two ifin I was you.Not to mention they can be found local,Oh I can get HC/7 in TJ or Ensenada but I still prefer these two for the same $.

I have heard(but never tasted)Montecristo Rum, but the Ron Matusalem Reserve is new to me!!! I am adding tho my MUST TASTE WITH A GOOD STOOGIE list!

I purchased the Havana Club only on the basis that I never tasted it and it looked... interesting...

Just got back from Cozumel. one stop on a great cruise
Went to the Havana Club On the main drag above Diamonds International.
supposedly the only place in Cozumel to get real cubans
nice club. Large walk in humidor, big smoking lounge. nice bar serving cuban rum daquires and a live jaze band playing.
I got a couple of coasters with the same logo as that bottle.I also got a couple of good partagas,punch ryj and h. upmans. Saved the tubes smoked the contents befor returning to the US heheheh.
Will try to post som pics of the tubes and coasters later. I'll have to check my pics I think I took some inside the club but it was after a couple of drinks
