Had my 1st Peg Leg today. Not quite as good as the Full Sail I had Thursday, but pretty close. Great little smoke.

I was hoping to remain on the RICKAMAVEN diet and smoke my good $1 and $2 smokes as often as I could and reserve the high dollar stuff for once or twice a week. Well, it's not working.

My plan is to smoke the better stuff while my cheaper ones age and improve. Sound good? Yeah, that's the plan, I'll go with that.

I do have a number of $3 and $4 favorites for dailies. After I sample the Z, Salsa, VSG, and some ISOMs, I'll get back on the program. { =^ )

I NEED MORE MONEY!!!

I hear ya'. I started out with 1 and 2 dollar sticks, but there is a lot of difference between those and a 6+ cigar. I am on a regular diet of Bucs, VSGs, and PAMs, although I try to find and smoke cheaper ones. Trying to average it out so I don't go broke.

I am having the same problem. Bought quite a few budget cigars and have been gifted some too but just letting them rest atm. I figure right now its so cold that I only smoke once every 2 or 3 days at most and so I should make it count. When the weather gets better and I can smoke a couple a day then the bargain smokes will come out, I dont need to smoke a pam a vsg and a cao all in one day 😛

I keep telling myself
smoke the cheap ones,
and every time I open
up a humidor.
I go right to the top
shelf (so to speak)
It's kind of like bidding
DON'T DO IT
I think 23.00 should do it.
There is a little Jeckle and Hyde in us all.

Lifes to short to smoke cheap cigars! Smoke the stuff you like and can afford on a daily basis. Save the cheap stuff for mowing the lawn!

I agree whole heartedly...I smoke my good stuff most of the time...but I can't resist a bargain...so I get middle of the road stuff from this site often.

Now that its 2 degrees in NJ...I find myself spending more time at the local pub...where smoking is allowed...it works out...I get my "man time"...and I am drawing down my inventory a bit as well.

The good thing now is that a middle of road stick is damn good these days...not like the crap I was forced to smoke in the mid nineties...

Well, I'm just as guilty as the rest of you when it comes to raiding the "primo" humidor. Right now Mr. "Primo" contains many DC Maxs, 858 SGs, Hemis, Opuses, Anejos, PAMs, Ashton Cabinets and VSGs and some Torano 59 Exouses and Punch Gran Crus. If that isn't temptation for a herfer, I don't know what is.

However, I'm also noticing that my 1-2 dollar cigars purchased 2-3 years ago are getting a lot nicer, smoother and more flavorful. I'm now trying to make sure that I smoke these more mature puppies on the weekday and bring out the fancy stuff on the weekend. Seems to be working. Also I think it gives the good stuff time to rest longer. When you have a 3 year supply on hand, it's a lot easier to let your stash age.

But I know how you feel. Its kind of like... Graham crackers are fine but there are times you really need Pepperidge Farm.

Tough to keep your hands out of the cookie jar when it contains the yummy stuff!!

Well db, sounds like you validated my plan. Only have a 2 year supply on hand (a little over 700), but it's building weekly thanks to my CBid addiction.
