I have decided to start painting the pictures in my mind, I see the colorful images of love and war, death, helicopters and all the spirits that hide in the shadows of the trees, the faces in the rocks and the eyeball in the sky

I just bought a few hundred bucks worth of paints and crap from ebay today, not that I know how to paint, but I can look at a blank sheet and start to see lines form onto the paper, then I just trace with my hand what my mind projects

yea man, im going to turn the whole downstairs into my studio.

Does anyone paint here?

Now im off to walk thought the woods before it gets dark, ill be back

Do you think he'll find his way back ???? hope he left some kind of a trail...... hehehehe .
gto....... those "wandering" walks in the wood will give ya some good inspiration for painting ! i've painted off and on for years.....usually one color ! don't paint the ceilings too often.....try and keep the paint on the trim and off the carpet ( use a drop cloth ) 😉

65gtoman: yep! (this is Cavallo, btw)

you're on the right path. just make sure to get your canvas covered totally with paint or gesso first. anything you put down afterwards will stick and show up better. a big mistake beginners make is not getting the canvas prepared well enough before trying to get their images down.

you don't have to paint "realistically" to get your images across either. my best painting is just an explosion of color, and people who view it have had lots of intense reactions to it.

paint what you see or what you feel -- doesn't matter. just do it and see where it takes you, bro!

Actually, I have a 21 yr old son who is a pretty good artist. He likes lead sketches. My wife was looking for something to mount and frame a couple with today. He also loves to work in "grafitti" in large formats....like walls! He's been hired a couple times to do some friends' rooms and has designed some tatoos.

Im back after my walk, I did get an idea of my first painting, its going to be on a 3 1/2 tall 6feet long canvas, im going to paint shadow faces all over the canvas then hide them with leaves and rocks, and the sun will be a hidden eyeball. its all in my head, I cant wait for the paint and stuff to get here, only people with the vision will be able to see the faces. I intend to paint in a trance state, then hide the faces the next morning when im back in the non existent world of reality.

Thanks for the tips, it makes sense to paint the whole canvas first so it don’t soak up all the real paint.

Im a big fan of michael bowen's painting's, I think he inspired me this morning, I even sent him an email today. He has a website up the link is

http://68.166.190.115/Beatscene/beat_Home_Frameset.html

Its funny, I see alot of my own thoughts in his work, he even has eyeballs all over his site.

I remember that day I took the power for the first time and questioned god and demanded for him to show himself, and the giant eyeball in the sky appeared, and at the same time on the other side of the sky all evil showed its face, and I stood in the middle holding all the knowledge of the universe. After that day everything was new and different, the shadows and clouds the way the dust in the road formed shapes only I was able to see. And we are all two billion years old, all time and events are in our minds to view anytime.

You can’t find the truth in the marble buildings ran by funny men with funny hats and garb. Control and grounding is the death of the mind, why be set in your ways, change everything in your life in 30 minutes don’t hold faith in a idol from someone’s else’s vision and control, start your own religion and become god. Everything in this universe moves in circular cycles, birth life death, rebirth. The world spins in a circle.

Today I had 2000 hours in my day, I became I new man different from yesterday, even different from when I woke up.

Getting back to painting, I might get out the house paint and paint the picture right onto the drywall if I have enough colors.

Nobody knows the answer, but for the brief moment of death and birth.

I know I should proof read this or at least reread this to myself to even see if it makes sense but words are like paintings you can’t make a mistake.

When you look at a drop of pond water it’s a circle of life, a whole new world living inside a single drop of water, amazing life forms all swimming together. What if we are in a drop of water? From outer space we are microorganisms living in a drop of water.

When you come down I suggest you consider taking a beginning painting class at a community college.

If your intention is to paint realistically, it is a learned skill. The class won't "destroy your vision" if you don't allow it to. What it will do is give you a foundation on which to build.

There are a lot of tricks to painting, it's easier to learn them from someone than try to pick them up on your own.
