a couple people on another board are accusing me of being a moocher because I put my Dog Rocket Adoption Service thread up there as well. I admit on several occassions asking for cigars - cigars that I had never tried before and was eager to try being a newbie. I even go so far as to admit I had planned on keeping all the cigars that I was going to get from the Adoption Service, then I changed my mind and decided that I was going to make a list of the cigars I received and see if anyone wanted any from the list. And I would arrange to share the wealth. I thought it would be nice to put a smile on fellow BOTL's faces while letting other BOTL's get rid of cigars they no longer desired to smoke. If you feel this is still mooching then that is your perrogative to think of me as a moocher. I know I'm not one so it don't matter to me. I just wanted to tell my side of the story. thank you

Liz: I read your 'Adoption Service' post with some amusement and the following thoughts occured to me:

1. I ought to send you a couple of Evelios, Montagues, and Don Manuels I have;
2. You would soon get tired of all the low quality smokes you are soon to receive;
3. You would find a good home for all these rockets when you get tired of seeing (and smoking) them.

It NEVER occured to me that your light hearted adoption service was mooching. Let the others get a live and don't let it bother you.

So if that is the case, then everytime we send you cigars, (since you a cigar-ho) I'm sure its appropriate for you to post a couple provocative pictures of yourself smoking those cigars in the picture post. Guys... Isn't that what you'd like from a true cigar-ho??

Tell you what.... If you post a 3 pictures of yourself in a swimsuit smoking a cigar and holding a sign that says "I Love Cbid", I send you a free 5 pack of 5 Vegas cigars (which you said you like). (Send addr to mlkearns at Yahoo).

The better the pictures are the more I'll send..

In reading that post and considering taking you up to clear some humi space the word 'moocher' never crossed my mind. Your conscience is clear as far as I am concerned!

I guarantee you would not like to see me in a swimsuit LOL - but I might be able to persuade Clive to put up the pic of the 2 of us - though we kinda look like we have major attitude going on since we were trying so hard to take a good pic - Clive had to hold the camera himself

Liz you have a great ideal here and I don't think you are a moocher. I post at the other board I know those guys were just trying to have fun. But I swear If Cav posts pictures of hisself in a bathing suit we will all be sorry. No Tony Please No.

one of those that was picking on me sent me an email to get my snailer to donate to the DRAS - so all is good 🙂 like I said over there I get over sensitive sometimes and I don't want people to think badly of me 😞

Your not a moocher liz ! at some time everyone will go to thier humidor and pick out the least disirable smoke and try to figure on what to do with it to make room. and your just being honest......as with a few others and myself as well.....we'll take them ! liz has a great service going and if you do clean out your humi.......send it to her !!! adoption service !!!! wish i had thought of it !! could be like the welcoming commity ! a bomb for newbies.....a free variety pack to try ones they haven't tried before. there's plenty of smokes i've seen posted as "dog rockets" that actually...i thought they were not bad at all ! so i'm with liz on collecting the unwanteds.......your dog rockets may be what we like ! pass them on..............

exactly totes! that is the reason DRAS came into being when I noticed at least a handful of cigars that I've enjoyed smoking on the "dog rockets" list. I figured that one persons "dog rocket" is another persons daily gar or something to that effect. So the DRAS came into being. I've had several people from the other board step up to the plate - and a couple from here - seems this board has some catching up to do 🙂 LOL
