What's up with this bidding? I know these can be bought retail for way less money. I just don't get it. I mean, this is great for c-bid. Someone needs to make up for the losses they must have by the great deals we all get. But I can't in my right mind see bidding this high when I can take a ride to my local shop and pay at least $50 less than they're going for here. What's the deal-e-o???

I saw a box of Toraño 1916 Cameroons go for $130 the other day. I KNOW they can be had for around $50-60 a box! Just realize that these people are subsidizing us 'bottom feeders' and if everyone was as cheap as we are, cbid couldn't stay in business, so like someone else said on another thread, bid high and bid often!

can you say stupid??? I would pay 12.00 a pop for them and cheaper online... but somebody's got some extra cash to burn... maybe the guy/gal is going through a divorce and just wigged out a bit??

At first I was amazed as well. But, when you divide the final price by number of sticks, the price is $12.44 per. I'm not saying that's a good deal, but I know in SoCal it's hard to find these below $15 a stick. So is it really that bad a deal???

I know I wouldn't pay it, but then again, if they're your favorite smoke and you can't find them anywhere?? Who's to say. As they say "it's all relative."

Oh yeah, and I do know where you can get the Maduro Monarco for less (on the internet of course).

If he over paid it was only by a little unless you all have way better sources than I do. And I least he spent it on the best. I say if you want them bid on them and I hope he enjoys them.

Don't forget to include your local taxes on these if you're buying in the shop. It's only 17% for me in Ohio, but MUCH higher elsewhere. Plus, Cbid doesn't list other retail internet sites (imagine that! LOL!)like some other non-auction boards. So, maybe this is the only place they know where to get them. Hey, it's all good. It keeps Cbid up and running.

PAMs are hard to get some places. Because of this, they sometimes have a ridiculous mark up! Prices are relative for these.

Might I recommend Turkish Lire? At 1.69 Million:1 exchange rate, you can light your gar with six zeros for under a buck! (Just don't do it in Turkey, where desacrating their money is considered to be disrespectful to Ataturk, who is like George Washingtion to them, and you will be jailed!)

This joint is an off-shoot of Cigars International where I sometimes buy. I have also gone to others. In CA (where I am forced to live by the Navy right now) a CAO La Anniversaire eXtreme goes for about $10.25 in the retail store and $7 at CI. Others are much cheaper on-line, but this joint is normally lower than CI where I find it to be the lowest, usually. I would recommend using autobid and setting your limit just below what you can get them for at a good site. The Ghurka Double X's are going for $195 at CI right now and here they are listed at $116 for 4 winning bidders (right now). A substantial savings.
