I have seen a lot of members from the area and thought I'd see if there is enough interest on the board to have a Cincinnati Herf.

I do not have any concrete ideas yet, but was thinking about either hosting it at my house with a grill out or having it at a local bar/restaurant that is cigar friendly.

Please post below if you are interested in a local Cincy Herf. I was thinking of the third weekend in March.

Property value, Cost of living, Life style, Schools, Cigar Shops and other important stuff. Any help owuld really be appriciated.

Thanks and sorry for the Thread Jack.

Patman,

The best thing for you to do is go to one of the online job websites (hotjobs, monmster.com) and use their relocation information. You can look up all the information you need on that, cost of living, houin, schools, etc..

The Wharf is a good cigar store located in that area.

hell yeah. Rick's in Fairfield is smoking friendly, reasonably priced and a good time if it makes sense for all to travel to. That's my top recommendation. Any Wing place usually is smoking friendly (at least the ones I go into are hazy). I'm in. No doubt. I work weekday nights so weekends (i.e. Sat of course) would be best for me. gregmas at hotmail dot com

Hoagie, I would like to make it to the herf. Will need to do a trade at work, so soon as you nail down the date I will get to work on it.

I will wait until next Wednesday, March 10th, before I set the time and date in order to give others some more time to respond. I know of several other people from teh board that are in the area and might want to attend.

Gentlemen:

What's your schedule look like for Saturday, March 20th around 4:00 PM until whenever?

I'm planning a Cincy Herf at a local restaurant/bar (The Front Porch) here in Cincy and thought you might want to join us. This herf is just a gathering of people who enjoy cigars and want to spend time with other people who enjoy cigars.

What to bring: money for lunch/dinner/drinks, your favorite cigar(s) to smoke, cutter, lighter, and any cigars you might want to trade or gift to someone.

It's too late to contact any cigar manufacturer's for donations, but depending on attendance I may plan another Cincy Herf a good three months in advance and then contact some manufacturer's in hope of obtaining donations (cigars, caps, t-shirts, cutters, etc..).

Please let me know if you plan on attending or not so I can reserve enough tables. I look forward to meeting everyone!
