US, Canadian, and French troops are now in Haiti. Without checking your political party affiliation's official stance, should we have troops in Haiti?

The 15 nation Caribbean community has voted to not send troops.

We have "bigger fish" to fry. Let the UN handle it!

I think we should declare that the entire island is the Dominican Republic. More stability and more cigars.

I guess the Republican party's official stance is that we should be, but I say no. I don't think we should have troops in any country that isn't threatening our country or our diplomats (did they do that? I didn't read that anyone ever did....)

I think we should have troops there to protect our embassy. Aside from that, it's not our fight.

no. and we should not have backed the rebel troops and kidnapped the elected leader of the country, but in the infinite wisdom of this and past president, we don't really want a democracy unless it's "our" kind of democracy.

note current president is following previous administrations doing our usual.

This country is so F'kd up. Most of the populous believes in Voodoo, no joke. 3rd world? Not, 5th maybe. Bottom line is they do need help. Send the French and maybe the UN.

i'd like to see our troops come home from ANY country that is:

1. not threatening us directly

2. not THANKING us for our presence

3. giving us the middle finger with one hand and sticking the other out for our help (food, $, etc.)

and when we pull out our troops from the above countries, i'd like to see our yankee f'ing dollars come marching home with them -- including any and all aid (medicine, food, the whole thing).

we can't continue to coddle countries who want to see us "american nazis" dead in our barkoloungers!
