Karen Hughes needs to shut her frickin mouth! She is quoted with some of the most insensitive comments regarding politics I have ever read. She mentions 911, as if it all only hurt her cause.....and not THOUSANDS of family's losing their loved one's. She is a robot-puppet, with no soul. F*** her!

If they took a poll from all that lost loved ones on 9/11 and the majority said it was a bad ad well then I would say pull the ad, but not because a few feel that it's a bad ad. OBTW it didn't list what their political affiliations were, could they be say maybe liberals huh. JonR

JonR: don't fence all liberals in like that, man. I'M a liberal; i think the "questionable 4 seconds" of the ad is just fine and done in good taste -- as good, at least, as anything can be concerning a day full of the obscenity that is terrorism.

MoveOn.org claims that Bush is doing precisely that. In an e-mail letter to its members MoveOn is suggesting that supporters write letters to the editor of their local newspapers expressing disappointment in the president's decision to exploit 9/11 for "partisan political gain."

And what were the attempts by democrats to make Bush all but a co-conspirator in the aftermath? Yes, we have a soaring deficit, so did FDR! He's widely regarded as a saint by the liberal democrats. Do they forget that we are still in the midst of a war? I suppose they will next try to say it should all be over by now. And then, they'll try to say Bush lied about how long it was going to take. (I beleive he said it would probably be going on for at LEAST tento fifteen YEARS! It will take that long to root out the evil that has roots in dozens of countries. In Viet Nam, we allowed the enemy to operate unopposed in North Viet Nam, Laos, and Cambodia (at least for a time). they had a safe place to retreat to to regroup, and escape persuit. We know what happens when you set rules in a conflict that only apply to yourself, eventual defeat! We need to show these terrorists that we will go where we have to and hunt them down. We need to show the countries that harbor them that we will invade if they don't turn them over. We most especially need to show the world that we will not just lose intrest and go home, but will say what we mean, and do what we say! Then, and only then, will we get the respect we have earned, and be allowed to live in peace and safety.

MoveOn.org must really piss the neo-con artists off... Thats why the RNC is in the middle of a major letter writing campaign to censor this organization out of existance while neo-con wacko operatives are allowed to perpetuate lies that they call the truth on the air. What a laugh...

As far as 9/11 is concerned it is a fundanmental assumption on the part of the Republicans that 9/11 was unavoidable. Furthermore, all our subsequent foreign policy has been a necessary reaction to this disaster. That's why we call it a reactionary foreign policy. Look at this administration's actions last week in Haiti. Total non-involment until crisis and then a reaction. classic reactionary responses.

But in life, business and especialy in foreign policy it is far more efficient and more intelligent to be proactive rather than reactive. The head of the 9/11 commission refutes the assertion that 9/11 was unavoidable. (see link)

The Bush foreign policy on Middle Eastern affairs was one of non-involvment on Middle Eastern domestic issues and anything neccesary to maintain relationships that support the dependency on oil and the needs of multinational oil companies that were so important in helping Bushes campaign. Efforts in Palestine and Afganistan to bring stability are faltering. Al Queda has been drawn into Iraq like a magnet.

Getting back to 9/11, many of us liberals see 9/11 as a preventable failure in foreign policy. The way Bush seized upon it as an opportunity to advance a vendetta on Saddam, overextend our military and put our soldiers in harms way is repulsive. The way our attorney general has abused the spirit of the Patriot act to seize consititutional rights from citizens of this country is absolutely appalling. And now to shove 9/11 in our faces on ads paid for by multinational corporate cronies whose CEO's exploit and steal from all of us... it is just as repulsive as it gets.

If you want a deliberative proactive foreign policy that make friends for our country in the international community rather than enemies, stemming from reactive policies from knee-jeck mentality then the choice is obvious.

I would ask you to consider turning off you TV set and writing to the networks saying you will not watch the show or support any of the other products advertised on the show if you have to see ads like this. Especially when the RNC continues to do everything in its power to censor folks that have an opposing view.
