I don't know anything about this cigar but I was lucky enough to pick one up on another BB for Homebrew's boxpass. Can someone fill me in on some details? It sure does look lovely in that well constructed coffin box.

Maybe Jon can weigh in on it? I did a google search to get some info but it turned up friutless...

Thanks in advance...

Jay,

The CAO Millenium was made one time in 1999. I believe that the production was limited to 1000 boxes each with 21 cigars.

Here's a description from CBid:

The super-rare, super-premium limited edition cigar from CAO. To celebrate the 21st century, CAO created this masterpiece in an extremely limited quantity. To be exact, only 1,000 boxes were produced to ring in the New Year.

Masterfully rolled with a complex blend of extensively aged and carefully picked leaves, this is one of those few ventures that every smoker should experience at least once. Utilizing five different Nicaraguan filler leaves and a flavorful Nicaraguan binder, the Millennium will offer a richness and flavor that cannot be matched. And to top it off, this cigar is draped in a flawless Ecuadorian grown Rosado wrapper. Made by Tabacalera Perdomo in Esteli Nicaragua, this gorgeous box-pressed torpedo is individually packaged in cedar coffins.

Size: 7"x54

PS

I love these cigars

What Harley & Low said. I walked into a deal on these back in 2000. They were packaged 21 each in a glass top humidor. The guy I bought mine from said he couldn't get anyone to pay around $15.00 per stick let alone a full humidor. So he sold me the whole lot 2+ humiidors real cheap.

Lucky me, huh?

Chip, your timing was off. You were supposed to get these before you fondled my pass.

The CAO Millenium was the cigar I smoked when they found Saddam! It was the only one I had and I was saving it for something special.

Now if you want another really good unusual CAO that I believe is still in limited production, go find the CAO 65th Anniversary. You can find info about it on CAO's site under specialty cigars.

Sorry Bassdude... It would be yours if I had it then. I just came across it recently on another BB.

A buddy of mine gifted me a 65th Anniversary CAO. Now that was a great smoke! The cigar band is pretty cool too.

I paid around $10.00 a stick for the whole lot plus the humidors. He couldn't get $15.00 that's why he wanted to get rid of them.
