As close as I come to country is one CD I have by a group called "The The". They have an album out called "Hanky Panky", it's all remakes of old Hank's songs. Damned good, recommended.

Bud, you would probably like Leon Russell doing a country turn with Hank Wilson's Back. It is a bunch of old Hank Williams songs recorded by Leon Russell about 25 years ago.
