ah, sounds like a grand ol' time. looking forward to the air show here in wilmington. i can't make it out there, but i live behind the airport -- no noise from regular air traffic, but i get a front row seat for the air show -- blue angels and all. 😃

I can see the flightline from my office window. The F-15 demo pilots practice a couple times a month. It gets kinda loud in our building but it's cool to watch. I use to live in base housing that was facing the runway. I could watch the whole airshow from my front yard. Our neighborhood would have a big cookout and just hang out away from the crowd.

I still work on base but since I retired I usually don't want to fight the crowd to come out for the air show. Besides I get to see a lot of the demos the day before the open house because they usually do a practice to familiarize themselves with the local area.
