The last of Ethan's mystery cigars was a robusto or corona grande ring size and 4 3/4" long. This cigar must have had some age on it since it sparkled with ploom.

Very toothy, oily wrapper with a heavy tobacco smell. Pre light taste of almonds with a firm draw.

Lit this one up and BAM!, major spice. It started to mellow after the first inch but the spice was there throughout. Ash held for 2" and was dark grey in color with streaks of black. Lots of heavy creamy smoke with tastes of pepper, almonds and wood.

Very nice medium to full bodied cigar. I don't think it was Cuban but I could be wrong. I'd like to pick up more of these for when I'm in the mood for a smooth but peppery smoke.

So what is it Ethan???

It looks like a Buc Classico Maduro Robusto.

If you look at the color of the wrapper closely, you can see differences - I thought the wrapper would have given this away, Dave..

C'mon Dave, do any of these suggestions sound right??? (one is....)

hmmmm.....considering the firm draw....and if you look closely above the green band, there is a slight raisin gin the wrapper. The MX2 is one that does this in all sizes.....the VSG is the only other cigar I have with that. DC Maximus does not have a tight draw if cared for, and clipped right.

IT IS AN MX2 ROB!

what did I win, more Panda Porn?

as good as "raisin gin" sounds....let's try raising in.

If it's the Don Douglas Tambor Maduro ShortFill then I'm buying a couple bundles.

My first thought when I looked at the cigar was that it was a SG wrapper and based on the taste I would think that Smelly was on the money with the DC Max robusto.
