One of the local shops changed ownership recently so I stopped by to chat with the new owner. While there I smoked a bucanero clasico and a LGC serie R.

The new owner is already talking about expanding the lounge area and catering more to cigar smokers and less to the cigarette crowd.

Had an Ashton VSG Tres Mystique today, good smoke but the Corona Gorda I had I still liked better. Eyeballing a Buc Full Sail or a Partagas Black Label, neither of which I have fired up before. I have to hurry, because 5 billion cicadas are due to march out of the ground this weekend. After that cigar-smoking really becomes hazardous to your health. BUG IN MY HAIR!!!

Monte Series V robusto with coffee on the deck. A beautiful morning (finally) in Ohio, on the last weekend before the cicadas rise from their 17-year sleep. The Monte will be good after a year or so, but for the money I'll stay with the HdM MM or Punch X Roth.

Cicadas... creepy friggin' things. I became VERY familiar with their distinctive sound while I was stationed in Greece, on the island of Crete.

Burned a PAM at my buddy's retirement party yesterday evening. I gave him 5 or 6 different sticks to try (he just started). I have to say I like the PAM much better than the PAN. And the ash held on for damn near 2/3rds of the cigar. People out in front of Dave and Busters were all commenting on it...
