Ok all of you on the left, so why exactly do you all hate Fox News? I'm basing this on your numerous negative comments in the past about Fox.

So, can you let me know in a mature and civilized way (not resorting to your common name calling, question diverting and blaming President Bush)!?

I have no bias here, so don't go that route either, I just want to know why you hate it so much. Thanks.

personally i don't see how anyone can "hate" an entity.

there are people working there that can be annoying, but it would have to be the people you see on tv. you can't be irritated by the call letters, or the men and women that type, write, and generally make the station work so it can broadcast.

in my case i watch on occassion, hannity and combes, and o'reilly. i feel sorry for combes. he is ineffectual in reporting the "left viewpoint" and he must know it.

that means he is going to work for a paycheck, knowing full well he will always be overtalked, and his viewpoints minimized, by his co-host.

hannity is a very dumb person. (i assume you mean we shouldn't insult each other) he has a point of view that is inflexible and narrow.

o'reilly is a cutesy. he is narrowminded and will cut off anyone he feels is in disagreement with him and who is in the process of showing where he is wrong. he ends with the "i'll let you have the last word", but then he interrupts them or cuts them off the air.

john macenroe kind of nailed o'reilly's technique by saying, in good humor, we've been brought up in similar neighborhoods, so i know how to deal with you. i don't even know what they were discussing.

i too grew up in the enviornment like they did, ie brooklyn, lower east side, bronx. where on a good day a question will be answered with a question or a smart ass sremark.
example "do you know what subway i take to get to queens blvd?" answer "what do you want to go there for, it stinks."

when i personally asked a traffic officer as i left the holland tunnel, which road i take to get to the bridge, he answered, "do i look like an information booth."

none of this is meant to be mean, just the standard abrasive city talk.

in o'reilly's case, he is slanted hard right, claims to be fair and balanced, you decide, gives only one side of an issue, and then insults his guest. i find him funny and irritating at the same time.

so there are three people i don't much care for, but not the "fox network."

they did show the wayan brothers show, i believe it was called "in living color" and it was funny.

I don't watch much TV, it rots the brain. I watch news occasionaly. I have noticed a definite Bias towards the right. Being conservative, it doesn't bother me too much. I have also noticed a bias to the left, with CNN. But if you want fair and balenced news??? There is NO SOURCE, that just gives you the news, without their own bias mixed into the spin. I have learned that you must check the "news" on all sources, and try and filter the spin.

Hate is such an ugly word. The complaint from the right is that mainstream media has a liberal bias. The complaint from the left is that FOX has a conservative bias. The problem I have with FOX is they sell themselves as "fair and balanced". A few minutes listening to Brit Hume or Sean Hannity and it is clear that fair and balanced is in the eye of the beholder. It is clear, however, that FOX has an audience and that audience is conservative. I don't have a problem with that. The constant complaining about media bias by both sides is asinine.

They have tons of Liberal guest and commentators aka Wes Clark. Bill Richardson, Harold Ford,****** Morris,Carvelle and many more .Geraldo don't forget is a liberal too.

Pretty funny, Hannity isn't a reporter, yet he's held up as one? His show is a point/counter point show. What about Alan Colmes? Does he not balance out Hannity? Fair AND balanced? How can anyone hold up a SINGLE network and say oh, there you go, you have FOX? What about ABC, NBC, CNN, CBS, etc... For someone to say it's a bunch of whining is "assinine" there is clear bias and to ignore it is to show your a$$...

To expect that anyone who is in the brodcast business not to put their own agenda in the best possible light is the most naive assumption one could make. And for the left to go on about how they only hate that Fox claims to be fair and balanced? I suppose you don't think that Ted Kennedy is a centrist? Kerry is to the left of HIM! But they are suposed to be more "mainstream" than their Republican opponents. Everybody is going to claim to have the facts. Too many times I've seen some stories be left unreported because they didn't seem to support the image that a network wanted to portray. ON BOTH SIDES! I remember once hearing a report on the six o'clock news that documents were found in the KGB headquarters linking Fidel Castro to the Kennedy assasination, not having heard all of the story (I was in the next room) I watched intently at 10:00! NO MENTION! Hmmmmm! Did someone think that that would open too big a can of worms and quashed the story? Who? Why? How? (This was in about '91) If you want Fox to stop being slanted towards a conservative viewpoint, just get ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN, as well as the bulk of the mainstream print media to stop being slanted to the left! I find that the Neo-Libs have the easiest time selling their agenda when there is no other viewpoint put forth. That's why they like to ridicule conservatives and say that Bush is a dummy, and so are we for supporting him. I for one, am tired of these tactics, give me a legitimate argument without resorting to ridiculing my viewpoint. Don't tell me that Bush is a dummy, and I'm a fool for supporting him until you can find someone who will stand for something, besides not being Bush. I didn't mean for this post to come off as political, but Liberalism, and Conservatism are political, as well as sociological philosophies, and to try to dissassociate the two, would probably kill both patients. I don't see our society getting any better until we can discuss our differences in an atmosphere of mutual respect, but I have yet to see any respect being given to my candidate, my viewpoints, or my preferred (not my sole) source of information.

O'Reilly does in fact at times go after the President (I've seen it in the not so often times I watch him). As anyone has the right to if they disagree with a policy. But unlike a lot of the 'arguments', or should I say whining, around here he backs up his reasons with FACTS. Novel idea.

I think it's funny that people claim that complaints about the mainstream medial being bias are "whining" Gee, could it be that it's because these very people doing the complaining are rabid left wing Kerry supporters and see nothing wrong with a little left with their news? I wonder if the shoe was on the other foot how they would feel? I wonder if they would hold their tongues? How many milliseconds do you think the silence would last? I'm guessing about 1.

Fox is the one network that does not have a heavy bias, as they have commentators on both sides of the aisle and from both liberal and conservative viewpoints! They actually report the News! Don't even begin to compare them with CNN and MSNBC...both heavily leftwing!

Actually Robby, people on their side are allowed to say as much about anything as they want (rickamaven and his absolute addiction to trying to make the President look bad) and it's fine. We mention something ONCE and we're whining. Neat little game they have.
It's almost like how someone with an inferiority complex acts, whatever they do/say is better. Kind of sad really. The really funny part is even after acting like this THEY have the nerve to say the we (on the right) aren't tolerant and accepting. Lmao.
