Okay, I am not the most sentimental guy in the world, but something struck a chord with me in the Fathers Day post.

I see that we have a member with a child that "kicked cancers ass," and another with a wife. (I am sure there are others, too.) My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I am happy to hear that you had/have the strength to keep living life as it was meant to be lived. I have seen what long term illness can do to a family, it is not easy.

I have two adorable children and a wife that melt my heart everytime I look at them. I pray to God that nothing ever happens to them. They are my reason for loving life. The closest I have ever come to a real health problem with any of them was my daughter. She had torticollis (spelling), simply put, a tight muscle in her neck, she couldn't hold her head up straight. Fortunately, a few months of physical therapy solved that.

Thanks for the air time, now, outside for a beer and a stick to celebrate life. May you all be blessed with happiness and good health.

Happy Fathers day, glad everything is alright.

My son has been through a lot, and no child should have to endure that. We were very lucky, but sometimes I think about when we were in the hospital, and one day there was a seriously ill little girl (about 1 year) in the room next door, and the next day, the room was clean and empty. . . . . it was a humbling feeling to know that not every child is as lucky. . . .
