When it was revealed in October that the Republican National Committee spent a whopping $180,000 on new clothes for Sarah Palin and her family, the McCain/Palin campaign promised that all the clothes would be donated to charity after Election Day. (McCain said on October 26 that 1/3 of the clothes had already been returned). Well, according to the NewMajority website, the clothes are sitting in trash bags at RNC headquarters in D.C.

New Majority:

But for reasons that remain mysterious, the clothes remain stashed at the RNC's Washington, D.C., headquarters. A source close to the issue told NewMajority that the clothes are "in the process" of being donated, and an RNC spokesman corroborated, saying the clothes have indeed been returned from Palin, "inventoried and will be appropriately dispersed to various charities." Attempts for an explanation of when and where the clothes will be donated went unanswered, and the governor's Alaska office does not comment on campaign issues
Do you think they were waiting for the dust to settle so they could ebay them or just pack them & send them up to Alaska?

Yes. But at least the dresses weren't as ugly as Michelle (maddog) Obama's.

And how much was spent on His Excellency Barack (Idi) Hussein (Amin) Obama's inaguration again?

One Hundred Tons of Garbage Collected After Obama Inauguration
One-hundred tons of trash were collected by city and federal sanitation workers after President Obama's Jan. 20 inauguration in Washington, D.C.

The scene looked more like the leftovers of a massive college frat party.

Heaps of plastic bottles, food wrappers, soda cans, and newspapers, which blanketed the National Mall Wednesday morning, were a stark contrast to the stateliness and splendor of President Barack Obama's inaugural ceremony a day before.

One hundred tons of trash were collected by city and federal sanitation workers, according to Department of Public Works public information officer Linda Grant.

In comparison, 40 tons of garbage were collected in New York City's Time Square on New Year's Day 2009 -- after one million people attended the celebration -- according to the city's Department of Sanitation.

Grant said Washington's massive inaugural cleanup effort began at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

"By 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, we collected about 90 tons of the garbage," she said.

Early estimates of the crowd ranged as high as two million, though the National Park Service and Washington, D.C., Mayor Adrian Fenty have now put that number at 1.8 million -- the largest inaugural crowd the city has ever seen.

The cleanup area extended well beyond the National Mall and parade route, city sanitation workers said.

Approximately 300 workers assisted in the effort. The city used 20 mechanical street sweepers and 12 trash packers to compress the garbage, Grant said.

"We also had 12 leaf vacuums to rake trash into the curb space and then suction it up, which worked really great," she said.

And giant septic trucks took to the streets in the wee morning hours, suctioning waste inside the 7,000 portable toilets used during the inaugural festivities. Many of the toilets were placed on flatbed trucks to be cleaned and then later reused.

Grant said that the largest bulk of garbage was left behind by vendors selling President Obama souvenirs -- though she said there was a wide range in items left by inaugural revelers.

We spent god knows how much money on Tuesday crowning our new President and you are worried about Palin's old clothes! The President's bullet "resistant" suit probably costs a fortune alone..

F**k up?

How is it a f**k up?

Everyone knows where the clothes are. They just haven't moved them out to charity yet. Remember, these are basically government types that take months to do just about everything.

But hey, while were on the subject of corruption, just what kind of payback - exactly - will private donors to His Excellency Barack (Idi) Hussein (Amin) Obama' Inauguration? You know, the most expensive and elaborate inauguration ceremony in the history of the United States?

In the middle of a recession?

When people, according to you and the other liberal whack-jobs around here, are hurting?

Or how about His Excellency Barack (Idi) Hussein (Amin) Obama nominating a guy to head up the Treasury (IRS) who is a tax cheat?

Or Charlie Rangle cheating on his taxes?

Or nominating a guy to head up the Justice Department who signed-off on Bill Clinton giving a pardon to the notorious tax cheat Marc Rich?

How about those Democrat f**k ups?

You're all up in arms because some $180,000 in clothes hasn't been donated to charity, while Democrat tax cheats abound?

You have a very, very skewed view of the world son. It is little wonder that the Democrat party is little more than a cesspool of angry, bitter, greedy people who only like charity when other people have to pay for it.

Lefty wears hypocrisy so well. He barely knows he's wearing it.

Something about having no comprehension of Right and Wrong probably helps.

^ Which is the reason why guys like Charlie Rangle stay in office.

His Excellency Barack (Idi) Hussein (Amin) Obama has already outright said that he's going to run trillion dollar deficits for the foreseeable future.

And pmn1 is all bent out of shape about $180,000 worth of clothes.

In fact, it won't be long before pmn1 - if pressed - will actually defend deep, deficit spending because "the last administration f**ked things up so bad!" Of course, he'll ignore the fact that Democrats were running the show in Congress.

That's how Lefty thinks. And that's how Lefty justifies their stupidity.

C'Mon, there is a couple of months between the election and the Inauguration, and what better way to say I Love You to your pitbull wife than to get her a dress that the head pitbull actually wore.

Take the money raised by auctioning it off and give it to the needy in Alaska (or the state of your choice).

Its not really that hard is it?

About Drafter's post. They're forking pigs. Throwing trash all over govt parks and by the monuments is unforgiveable to me.
100tons? Imagine wading through it when you were leaving...
