This is odd, but bear with me.

When I was a kid in sunny FLA (wasn't FL then), we had a cooler, Coleman I belive, that had a compartment in the top of the lid. At the time, it was perfect for keys, suntan lotion (no-one used sunblock then), glasses etc for beach trips. My brother has since inherited this cooler, and has transformed it into a mobile fishing station, with rod holders mounted, a seat cushion, etc. Tackle, etc for a specific fishing session is stored in the top compartment. Beer, of course goes into the insulated section, as well as fish.

Since I saw his invention (and downplayed my awe), I have been looking for a cooler like this. Coleman tells me that there is no cooler like this on the market any more, but I thought someone might have one. If anyone is using one for a coolerador, or has one, I will offer a modern cooler of similar size in exchange, with all shipping costs paid. HELP

Yep check that other auction site the one thats starts with the E...

Colman coolers are a dime a dozen over there.. and date back to the 70's...

Oh Yes, I've seen these in the store. This is pretty close, but not quite what I want. I really was looking for the more rectangular cooler for stability, and more top compartment space. I may have to make do with one of these though. Thanks

Yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. Just thought I'd throw this out there. The compartment is enough to hold my lighters, cutters, and some matches. It also has a removable tray inside that hangs from the top...perfect for the oasis container and a few looseys.
