Box press vs. traditional cab of 50. That's it.

Just an educated guess but I would have to say the word cabinet?

^Not exactly. Regular is box pressed, cabinet is round (at least the ones I've seen...and purchased).

However, not all of them come in cabs of 50. The box of double coronas I bought at an event weeks ago was either 20 or 25. I'd check to see which, but I need to go get some lunch.

BTW, just smoked another one of the cabs night before last. Great smoke. I've got a box of the regulars, too (corona gorda vitola, IIRC). I prefer the cabinet series. However, that one box set me back over two Bengamins (but I did get some nice schwag with them, including three tat blacks).

BTW, I'm disappointed this wasn't a thread about European vs. African swallows.

thanks!

The box press I have seen is a serious box press! Almost like an RP 'I' Press!

I'm thinking of picking up a box of the Cab

I just looked at the LR I have and the box press isn't severe at all. Never seen one like that...

I was at a B&M earlier and picked up a few Ambos Mundos and looked at the LR #1 and it was too extreme! Maybe it was just that one box

4, Pac.. you are correct... they also come in a boxes. But the whole idea behind the cabinet label was to produce the line in a non boxed press vitola and sell them in the traditional cuban cabinet (like the Tatuaje lines). Same cigar.. but just not box pressed like th original release.

Interestingly, he released a special limited box pressed version of the noella called the quadrado... in a cabinet too.

#7 He sat on his for a while.

#9 I'd hate to see a cab of 50 double coronas. Based on the price I paid for 20 or 25, I'd guess the price would be North of $500.

FWIW, the "DrewEstate" who started this thread 3 years ago was just a customer who chose that as his handle, he had no connection to Jon or DE other than liking their cigars. He later changed his handle to "Drew Estate Junkie" so as not to be confused with an official rep of the company. Haven't seen him post in a few years now though.

Your cousin has not been around for quite some time either. How is he doing?
