Historical Marker:
SOUTHGATE, Mich. (AP) - Joyful tears and frequent applause marked the start of U.S. voting Friday in Iraq's first independent elections in more than 50 years.

Security was tight at the abandoned store-turned-polling place in this Detroit suburb, with guards checking IDs at the parking lot entrance and using metal detectors at the doors. Inside, an oversized, homemade Iraqi flag hung from the ceiling. One poll worker could be seen weeping.

"We feel happy now. This is like America, this voting," said Zoha Yess, 64. "We want fair, good government."

Nearly 26,000 Iraqi expatriates registered beginning last week to vote here or in the other four U.S. polling places: Chicago, Nashville, Tenn., Los Angeles and Washington.

I am sure that Senator "Pass the Bottle" Kennedy is not pleased that the voting has begun! He seems to be against the Iraqui people getting this election in!

Oh, I forgot, it is just a political thing with him!

26,000 Iraqi's in the US?

I wonder......do they have the right to bear arms?
Have we effectively bugged their houses?

I sure hope they are being banned from commercial transport.

Do they tell people with beards, and wearing "I Love Bush" t-shirts that they meet in bars that they are Iraqi? I bet they say, "I'm from Sweden."

Yo adroomi:

More important, do they follow the koran to the letter, you know the part that says "KILL ALL JEWS AND INFIDELS". The "good muslims' will tell you I follow the koran but I skip that part, yeah right.

....since when did they put in an 11th commandment in the Christian Bible that says hate everyone except white middle class with at least 3 generations born in the USA Americans?

You obviously are following that one to the letter.....I am saddened that you brag about how good of a job our President is doing to liberate these poor people (I think he is too by the way, you've never heard me speak very poorly of him, in fact do a search, I've defended him often), and shortly after bragging about how good he is doing with these elections and all, you make a very strong racial comment about these expats in America.

Read your last message again my friend.......what should we do, kick them out of the country? Just say it, you know you want to.....Say It! Say "death to all sand n*ggers and anybody that isn't white and Baptist!"

Yo adroomi:

Your expression:

"sand n*ggers"

My retort:

Never heard that one before, but then I don't use racial slurs. However it seems you and rick know all the new racial and anti-semitic slurs and by God use them as often as possible. I believe there maybe some African American BOTL on this board, and even if there aren't I suggest you and rick backoff that "N" word.

Jon,
I'm quite certain that any minorities that read my posts will realize where I'm coming from......they are "anti-racist."

I do also apologize for being a bit rude last night in some of my responses though. I'm just a bit tired I suppose....what with a war going on and all.

I get a little fed up with some folks and their closed minded opinions. They see anything that is foreign to them as a threat and it's wrong to do so. Some folks who have a bit more knowledge about foreign things are told they "forgot where they come from." How many times has that been said to me in the past month?

I'm in the USA now.....I'm here at least once a month. I've stated that before. I have property, a home, and much family here. I also have property, a home, and family in a few other countries. Just because someone leaves the US as a place to permantly sit and idle away time for the rest of their lives, does not justify statements such as "you've been away for far toooooooo loooonnng." as someone said to me yesterday. Make sense? I'm not only way tuned in to the US and it's current events (oh, and not only one little corner of it, I travel the entire US quite regularily), but also to the events that happen outside the US borders. Is that wrong?

I have no problem being closed minded. As long as it's the truth.

Jon, I find it facinating that liberals know all the slurs and slams used by racist. And feel that they can use them when describing racism.
I never hear any of my conservative friends use such language in conversation.
Which goes back to my theory that liberals are the racist that point the finger of racism at the conservatives.

They want to control minorities by imposing more government contol over their lives. keeping them in a welfare enviroment and contolling their access to guns

Where as conservatives want them to be empowered and self reliant and productive members of society
People who can stand on their own two feet without being catered too and given special privleges of affirmitive action in order to be able to play on an equal field
Thats why they disapprove of black conseratives that have made it without their help.
Just look at the racist remarks made by liberals regarding Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas, Collin Powell and others that have made it without their social programs to keep them down

Are people calling me a liberal? Is that my new label?
