I know what you are saying Rick. I too find it hard to believe that in war people have to die. It's to bad all the good peace keepers in America like yourself run and hide when we need you most. Maybe if you and all your super liberal friends would go over seas and be puppets for these foreign leaders the world might be a safer place. You remind me of a **** I went to school with see Rick he always talked tough when he was in a crowd or as he went by in his car. The funny thing is he wasn't always protected by that crowd, and it took just a matter of moments when the crowd wasn't there to make him understand that talking s&%t and being s&%t are two different things. Hey Rick - you know I love yeah I just wish we lived closer so we could enjoy a smoke together. Gunflint

i don't talk tough because i'm not tough. my point is that the mission was not accoomplished so why declare it.

a few guys have stopped by, almost all of them were bush supporter types who fight me tooth and nail on the boards. they all left with a similar remark, "you know rick, you ain't the ass hole you appear to be on the boards."

yes we could sit and shot the **** and smoke together, i don't discuss politics or religion in person it's best discussed at a distance with everyone having the full right to say their peace without being interrupted.

besides 100 years from now none of us will care.

Same old tired spin on a sign posted by sailors on the USS Abraham Lincoln that declared that "THEIR" mission was acomplished in Iraq. Now "THEIR" mission is aiding the Tsunami victims
Never said by Bush
Never let the facts get in the way of your bashing

i don't think anything good has come out of it for either us or the iraq's.

this link is from adroomi. you make your own judgement.

MAC,
just go to the link...it's not about politics. It's about faces and names.

I didn't post it to say anything good, bad, or indifferent. I just posted it so that anyone who wants to look through the link can do so. You may find a name you know. I sure did. I always do.....but then again, that's part of the business, right.

I just hope that all of this is for the right reasons....that's all I wish.

It IS about politics. Maybe not to you, but to some it is.

It's about screaming "Look at the people who died".

As I said before... eventually, democracy is going to take hold in Iraq. Then it is going to spread to the other arab countries. History will look kindly on what we did here. Not today, not tomorrow... but some day.

Here's a history question for you all...

How many lives were lost before and during the drafting of this Country's Independence and Constitution Era??
How many of these Lives were foreigners???

Bush can declare these Elections a Success... the proof will be in the pudding... from what I read on the news media websites yesterday and all last week... Millions of Iraqi's have turned out to vote for the first time in half a century, dipsite the bloodshed and the posability's of being killed doing so??? So I would list this Historical Event as a Success...

one other thing and we all know this...

Freedom isn't Free and it damn sure ain't Cheap!!!!

Iraqi Turnout 72% under threat of attacks and the democrats here whine about having to stand in long lines to cast a ballot
These people know the cost of freedom is not cheap and put everything on the line to gain it

I kinda like the purple ink idea.
It would work here to keep dead democrats from voting in our elections

Come on, guys everyone knew the liberals would have to find SOMETHING wrong with the election. It looks to be a great day for Iraq. One that will hopefully soon lead to their autonomy so we can get the hell out.

I would like to extend a warm pat on the back to the soldiers, both ours and Iraqi for their bravery and fine work. Also to the brave citizens for turning out in such higher than expected numbers.

Rick...

This thread is proof positive that there is absolutely nothing that Bush can do right for you.

The Iraqi people now have shown the world that they want a democracy. They risked thier lives to vote. When you never give credit when it is due, you only discredit your legitimate complaints. It's like always crying wolf.

You, Ted Kennedy, and John Kerry must be related. Or your dad really got around...if you get my drift...

The Pope and President Bush were on a lake just south of Crawford.

The Pope's hat fell off and into the water while the boat went on.

The Secret Service stopped to go back, but the President said "let me get it."

He got out and walked on the water to the hat and back.

The news paper the next day read BUSH CAN'T SWIM.

Rick, I've been saying that for years without stopping by, although we HAVE had any number of email exchanges and phone conversations ... I KNOW what kind of guy you are and you're NOT an ****, so it puzzles me why you sometimes seemingly INSIST on appearing that way ... I honestly wish that weren't the case ...
