Yo MACS(SW):

I'm betting 2 DIMES on the Eagles + the points (7-7 1/2 so far). I remember when the big bad Colts gave the Jets 16 1/2 points and the Jets spanked their butts.

I also seem to remember that Earl Friggin Morral started that game while Johnny Unitas rode the pine.

By the time they put Johnny in the game it was too late. Remember the Colts threw 3 picks in the end zone in that game.

The sun shines on a dog's butt on some days... which means even though it is unlikely, the Eagles DO have a chance...

Yo MACS(SW):

"1968: Johnny Unitas misses most of the season with a chronically sore elbow. However, the Colts do not miss a beat as back up QB Earl Morrall steps in and wins the MVP, while leading the Colts on a record breaking 13-1 season, which easily captures the Coastal Division. While Morrall led the offense, the Colts defense shut out 3 opponents while allowing a record low 144 points. In the Divisional Playoff round the Colts beat the Minnesota Vikings 24-14 before a sold out crowd at Memorial Stadium. In the NFL Championship Game the Colts faced the Browns in Cleveland hoping to avenge their only loss of the season. The game was never close as the Colts destroyed the Browns 34-0, to advance to Super Bowl III."

Yeah what a shame that the Jets had to face a lowly 13-1 team whose quarterback was the NFLs most valuable player and who destroyed all other NFL teams in the play offs. I think that was the begining of the end of Johnny Unitas playing career.

Yeah, well in the Superbowl Morral threw 3 picks, 2 in the end zone and Unitas was the one that led them to their only score.

As I said, the sun shines on a dog's butt some days... the Jets should NOT have beaten that team, which just goes to prove the old adage "Any given Sunday"...
