They are still around. Haven't seen them on CI lately. If you Google them several places will come up.

Yep. I had the Ecuadorian wrapper. Would love to get a hold of one of the maduro ones.

Again if memory serves me right the equdorian was the better of the 2 I have so many local places in town I wlll find some. Also Rocky patels main offices are in the area I live. A company I used to work for did some sample box labels for them once. I dropped them off. Rocky took me into the warehouse area and just started handing me smokes. He was like " try this one... Also try this one.

That's one thing we're definitely not blessed with around here. Shops are far and few between.

In Missouri, about 40 miles west of St. Louis.

I grew up in Oklahoma right In the 4 corners area.

I last had a Maduro a couple years ago and, while it contained A LOT of nicotine and had a strong flavor, it was very smooth.

I'll keep an eye out for a deal on these. Maybe we can do a split on them sometime.

I've been wondering about these as well> My B&M has them very cheap, and keeps trying to turn me on to these. He says the maduro is very delicious. All I know is they are VERY full bodied, and this one guy comes in all the time, that being the only cigar he smokes.
That reminds me...over the summer I meet a guy who only smokes AF Hemingways. Said he has smoked tons of cigars, and for the past couple years, Hemingways are the only cigar he ever buys/smokes.

Those are the only 2 people who I have meet who only smoke 1 cigar.

If I had to choose only one cigar to smoke (and I smoke several a day), I wouldn't know....and I've tried hundreds of smokes...

My favs are the Gran Habanero with several cups of strong coffee. Don't stand up too fast after finishing that baby off 'cause you might just fall right back over.

These cigars have gone through several incarnations over the years, some reminiscent of the original powerhouse and some not so much. I haven't had one in about a year but I remember it was a Gran Habano and it was fair but not quite up to the originals.

I only had a chance to smoke a few of the original blend but they were incredible. One of the only cigars to force me to sit down while smoking it. That strong.

The ERH maduros...Rico Clubs & Torpedos...do it for me.
Wonderful sour, tangy flavor, virtually non-existent in other brands.
I stocked up when they had them regularly on Cbid two years ago: fivers for $11-$13-$15 depending on the furiosity of the bidding.
Strangely, I do not think much of the ERH natties I've smoked.
One of these days I will buy a box of the Gran Habaneros, 7x54, in maduro.
That'll be a smoke!

Resurrecting an old thread... Just burned an El Rico Maduro Torpedo and I instantly fell in love with the bold rich coffee and nuttiness! Hoping to find a deal on a box somewhere. Would love to know if any of you guys have a bead on these. These might just be my new everyday smoke if I can get them under $5 a stick.

used to smoke a lot of them years ago. couldn't imagine smoking them now as my tastes have turned well south of that strength level.
But they did make a very smooth, well constructed, consistent product.
