even the commies aren't immune to PC, it seems. I just wonder if there's ever been a serious medical or legal effort to differentiate between cigarette smoking and cigar/pipe smoking that wasn't hooted down by the PC crowd.

One thing I've noticed... as a cigarette smoker for 20+ years, while under the grip of that awful addiction, I really didn't appreciate cigars. (WTF is this? I can't inhale 'em without falling down, they taste okay, but 10 minutes later I want a cigarette!)

Since I picked up cigars, I have no desire for a cigarette, the smell of cigarette smoke shuts down my throat and nasal passages, I don't inhale cigar smoke (at least, not on purpose and not concentrated) and the worst cigar "craving" I've had is along the lines of, "Gee! A cigar would be really SWEET right now", as opposed to "GIMME A #@()&%@#!@# CIGARETTE RIGHT NOW!!"

(things that make me go "hhmmmmmmmm...")

Badger,
I don't really call it PC.....I sort of agree with the ban on smoking in public places....to an extent. When I say this, I mean outside and in the middle of busy crowded places.

I was a smoker for 20 years myself and am now a quitter. I do still buy a pack of smokes though when I go out for a long night of drinking. Myself and lgates5 used to do this twice or three times a week, and I found myself burning up 5-10 cubans in a night. It got expensive.

I don't mind cigarettes in bars and in restaurants (as long as there is a no smoking section), but I really get bothered by the smell of smoke as I carry about my daily activities in the streets and stores of where I am.

Where I live the smoke is very thick though, so perhaps it is more bothersome.

Viva Fidel!
What a stalwart guardian of the peoples' health.

They say that he may cut back on torture and murder next.

BTW, my contacts tell me that the "beloved" tyrant's people are generally ignoring his mandate--for now...

"even the commies aren't immune to PC, it seems."

It's not PC. It has to do with control of the people

A communist trait that is called PC in the USA
