good question, Rick. I don't know the answer. I'll do some research, and in the meantime, if anybody else knows, then tell us both!

I dont save passwords, so I'm no expert. However, you could try this. I cant test it cause I'm on a PC that does not have Firefix installed. I'll have to wait 'till I'm in the office to confirm.

Saved Passwords. Whenever you enter a password in a web page (mainly on log on pages) Firefox will ask by default if you want to store that password, so the next time you need it, it will enter it automatically. To change this behavior, in Options/Privacy page, select the Saved Passwords section and press Clear to delete saved passwords, View Saved Passwords to see which passwords you have saved and what they are, Master Password to set a password you will need to enter once per session to unlock all others, and uncheck Remember Passwords to prevent Firefox asking to save a password.

Tools >> options >> privacy >> saved passwords >> view saved passwords >> show passwords >> remove the one needed. Visit the page again and store it correctly.

Don’t surprised to see password/sites you haven’t visited since installing FireFox. During the FF installation, it asked if it should import such tings from your old browser.

it's not what you are asking for, but this site will help increase the speed of Firefox, it's not too technical, well for me it's not.

Scroll down to "The tweaks you'll want to make right now"

You'll notice a vast improvement in page rendering.
