Breitling is pretty fancy. Audmars Piguet is pretty pricy. For cheap you can't beat the Casio G-Shock. You can get G-Shock watches that do everything...

...and they tell time, too.

I like the fact that my G-shock is atomic. No time setting. Ever. It changes time automatically.

Ah...right up my alley. I am a watch freak. My favorite one is my Seiko Chronograph. Tag Heuer makes some nice ones but I only have an F-1 (non chrono) it has lost 3 seconds in 5 years on the same battery. I have an Aquaswiss chronograph that is really cool looking, but doesn't have as many bells and whistles as the Seiko, but it keeps good time looks good and has better night time visibility.

I have an Accutron as well....but I really don't see the difference in functionality and looks over a Seiko half the price.

Casio is the king of bells and whistles but doesn't carry the prestigue of some of the other brands. Bulova has a pretty nice selection, though I don't have one (yet). They have a really nice divers watch that has depth and other goodies on it.

Look at www.ewatches.com they have some really good prices and a huge selection.

I love my Casio databank 150. Calculator, telephone data, appointment reminders, world time, alarms, countdown timer, split time stopwatch. Total nerd watch.

Very low on the status scale. Very high on the features scale. I guarantee you that there is no chronograph made with more features. But the chronographs sure look nice.

Generally, I don't care for jewelry, but I'm fond of watches. There's just so much technology and art crammed into that small box strapped to our wrists, they fascinate me.

The brand that has been catching my eye lately is Elysee from Germany. They have an odd combination of retro and modern styling with features like see-through backs coupled with antique/ regulator/chronometer/aviator/military designs. They are very cool and reasonably priced.

I agree with rayder1... I have many watches also. And for the money I would say my Seiko Chronograph is best deal.

I got mine at overstock.com. They have lots of models to choose from. And they have great prices.

My cop son has a couple of the G-Shocks and he swears by them. We got him one of the first on the market; beat up now but works as good as ever. Plus he has all the good memories that go with after all these years.

Maybe not the craziest complications, but Citizen eco drive solar-many models, and solar powered - no changing batteries. I've had my 200 meter water resisant for years and love it. My Seiko moon phase chrono has sat untouched since I bought the citizen. Check them out.

I've got a Dakota the wife bought me,(no more excuses about gettin home on time),. Its great has everything on it but best of all it's rechargable and holds a charge about 90 days. The battery is gauranteed 10 years! This ran about $360 and i highly reccomend them.

I have to second (no pun intended) the Citezen Eco-Drive, but I honestly never wear mine. I use a Luminox Navy Seals watch with the irridium trasers. No real bells and whistles to speak of (except a positive and reliable unidirectional bezel) but you can read it easily in the dark without having to push any buttons! Keeps great time! Had it three years, and still on the ogiginal battery!

I guess he wants us to reply to his email address. I didn't see it at the end. No wonder he didn't comment.

Oh well...maybe someone will.

I have the same watch CW has. My only complain is that it says Navy Seals on it. Other than that, it works great. I put the watch through pure hell while diving for bugs. I'm actually surprised the seal hasn't ruptured. I'm pretty sure they make a chronograph in stainless or titanium. The tritium hands and bezel are great.

I recommend none. Which somehow reflects my choice in underware.

I also have a Casio G-Shock.

I have a really hard time with figuring out why ANYONE would pay more than $100 for a watch. It's a WATCH for crying out loud. You're going to look at it to see what time it is.

Rolex's go for more than a friggin' car!! Unbelieveable.

You got your cell phone for free? You wear it on your wrist?

You're retired! Why do you care what time it is? Afraid that check(s) is going to sit in the mailbox too long?

Damn, this thread just reminds me I have to get my Swiss Army fixed. But it listed a $425 and I got it for $99.00. It has to be shipped back to Switzerland to be fixed for more than I payed for it.

GREAT watch. Swiss Army are a pretty good value. Its not a Wenger, or Victronox. It didn't break on its own, it was my own Damn fault. Check um out at the Swiss Army site.

Yo Tranny...you have to many watches. You need to sell me that Daytona..Ill give you........$250 for it!!! Wadda ya think!
