Hog,

The guy had some documents and a couple of components out of a centrifuge hidden in his garden for 12 years (since Desert Storm). So?

I mean, I see your point, but some retired doctor with a couple of small bits of machinery and a couple pubs that are all pre-1990's stuff, doesn't necessary spell out weapons of mass destruction. There are folks with worse hidden in their gardens in Texas.

I don't question the fact that our government had ample reason to start this war. Perhaps they just don't want to tell us. I just don't buy this WMD issue. If it's oil, then tell me it's oil, if it's sand we want, then tell me that......just quit telling me it's WMD. I'm not buying that one any longer.

If it were for oil we should be paying about

59.9 cents a gallon for premium right about now

EI Posted,

"If it were for oil we should be paying about

That depends on why you want the oil. Just to stir things up, I'll throw out some pure speculation, that the pieces of the puzzle seems to fit. No I do not believe that we are really there for WMD. But I do believe we are there for oil. But not to allow the oil to be used, but to keep it from being used. Remember, our president is from Texas, the largest oil producer in the US. By taking out Saddam, who was illegaly releasing, selling oil in the oil for food program at low prices, was creating a situation which was keeping the oil prices low. By controling the oil, we knew the insurgents would keep sabotaging the pipelines preventing that oil from making it to market, we could drive the oil prices higher. Which is just what the oil producing Bush friends wanted. I am benefitting from this, as a few stripper wells I own, are making a profit for the first time in 20 years. A unwanted biproduct of this, is inflation, driven by higher fuel costs, and a weakened dollar.

I will not go into dtail inm this threadjack, but the facts fit, better than WMD.

Homebrew:

A very interesting proposition indeed! It does, as you said, fit much better than the cover story that most people bought hook, line & sinker, about the WMD.

What facts? Where are any friends of Bush coming forth with this "coalition of Texas oilmen"? What Bush owns is a tiny part of a single percentage of the oil production of just the U.S.. When taken in context of world wide production this percentage is reduced even further. Good conspiracy theory stuff.

Also, NONE of the illicit Iraqi oil was destined for US markets, so it would make little difference in our pricing structure. The article says he had the stuff hidden SINCE 1991, not since the 1980s. He said he had been ordered to hide it. He stated that he had never disclosed thier existance to IAEC officals. Proves that you can't write off the possibility of hidden items in a place the size of California. Do our local police know where every crackhouse is in a space the size of L.A.? But I have long maintained that as long as it took us to act, the WMD (yes, I DO firmly beleive they existed, their use is a historical fact!) were moved/given to a place/group that would see that they would do the US the most harm!

the point was missing here and I added it with Pun intended... the first two articles that used to be public information have been removed with no link to forward to??? thus the rocket scientist to read and understand it... yes the other article hit the news like wild fire after our march into Bagdad...

the articles about the inspectors visits have also been blocked.. well at least the one's I used to hold on to in Favorites.. and also the Keys Report to Congress??

17,000 soldiers coming home with non combat related illness's/injuries?? and Now American People Our Soldiers are not ill or injured from their military war effort in Iraq... to the Veteran who is needing assistance being told "Prove It??"

as I said many times before.. it is easier to deny after the fact that Iraq has/had WMD's and easier to allow it to go forggoten by all these doubtful Idoits Toting the saying "Bush Lied" dust soon covers as time passes and you will find... nope these clowns were right and Bush takes a shot for the defense of America.. and 1000's of soldiers are without help because they cannot prove this happened or that happened....

Blind Idiots who tote the note!!!!

here's one... the Government spent Millions to study Ecstasy and keep it off the streets in America.. and now they are wanting to use it as expermental on our Soldiers for treatment to PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder) Make Sense???

Umm... I don't mean to intorduce anybody to scarey facts or anything, but WMD's weren't the only, or even the main reason for going in there.
