Smoked a couple Macabi torps and liked em both. They looked good and the flavor and aroma are good, tho they both tended to burn a little hot.

Love the Macabi Cameroons. Similar taste to the E.Trinidad by Sosa, but a better construction. The E.Trinidad's I had were a bit tight on the draw. But the flavor of both are outstanding.

I've smoke both the Macabi #40 and Sosa Piramide... and liked both, favoring the Sosa. I tried these brands because they have the Fuente connection. I think I was able to taste that heritage. There's a similarity in flavor with the Macabi leaning to the dry (sweet) and heavy side. That might be what eleltea means by "a little hot". I'm letting both sit a little longer.

I am a cigar retailer and ordered pretty heavily on the Antillian line. I think it is a good line, but you are right-they need time. THe Macabi Cameroons I got from the first shipment taste far better as one would expect than the latest shipments with less age. Too bad the "Fuente" connection doesn't insist they have more age on them before they get shipped out to the shops. It is reminicent of cigar boom days when cigars where rolled on Monday and shipped on Tuesday morning. MSRP on the line averages about $6 each.
