Look, I totally swiped this from another forum, but the debate on this got so funny and weird that I just had to bring it over here...

The question: How many 5 year-olds could you take on at once?

The specifics:

- You are in an enclosed area, roughly the size of a basketball court. There are no foreign objects.

- You are not allowed to touch a wall.

- When you are knocked unconscious, you lose. When they are all knocked unconscious, they lose. Once a kid is knocked unconscious, that kid is "out."

- I (or someone else intent on seeing to it you fail) get to choose the kids from a pool that is twice the size of your magic number. The pool will be 50/50 in terms of gender and will have no discernable abnormalities in terms of demographics, other than they are all healthy Americans.

- The kids receive one day of training from hand-to-hand combat experts who will train them specifically to team up to take down one adult. You will receive one hour of "counter-tactics" training.

- There is no protective padding for any combatant other than the standard-issue cup.

* The kids are motivated enough to not get scared, regardless of the bloodshed. Even the very last one will give it his/her best to take you down.

I think I could take on at least 20. How many could you take on?

Thom: This has to be the strangest, yet most intriguing question.

I couldn't take on many.

4?

4?!! c'mon Ryan. Their only, like 3 feet tall. Just think of how many would go with a round-house kick. HI_YA!

This is so bizzare, I know, but fun to chat about.

Well, with all of that training they'd get...even one day is more than I've had.

Remember, 3ft tall is about the height of your crotch.

Is this to the death?

This could be a legendary scene in a horribly freaky movie.

Dear Thom,

You have once again underestimated the intelligence of the 5 year old.

Sincerely,

Rick.

Why do you think that I've underestimated their IQ? I think if they ever get you down or if they swarm on you, you're in trouble.

28.....a lot of thought went into that, but if a guy was relentless, and just started taking them out......I'd probably get tired after about 28 of em.

Dang cookie crushers anyway

I figure about 20. I'm a little out of shape now, but when I was younger, I would beat up at least 30 five year olds.

It would depend on if they actually attacked or just stood on the perimeter and started whining, screaming, yelling, etc.

"Are we there yet"?

"Can I have some candy"?

"He's looking at me... STOP LOOKING AT ME"!!!

ETC, ETC.

This would be much harder. It would only take 3 or 4 of them about 10 minutes to drive me insane.

Get 25 kids together and the odds are at least 17 of them will look at me and say....."hey Dad, that's the guy that helps mom fix things in the house while your at work I was telling you about."

Then I'd have bigger problems than 25 mean kids on my hands.
