Opening night of baseball season. Who is your favorite team, and who is your favorite current player on your team?

Let's not to turn this into bashing a rival team. This is all about your team, your guy.

Braves, but I have just about lost all respect for MLB. From Strikes to Steriods, these multi-million dollar babies are really getting on my nerves. But, always have been a Braves Fan, and I guess I always will be one . . .

I have stopped watching all other sports (except occasionally soccer) in order to be able to spend more time watching the Oakland A's...my favorite player (he's not the greatest but he's my favorite to watch) is Eric Byrnes

Yep, all sports suck. With the exception of:

Pro football, basketball, BASEBALL, hockey, college basketball, BASEBALL, football, hockey, LaCrosse, Hai alai, field hockey, track and field, swimming, boxing, equestrian events, rugby, tennis, golf, badminton, archery, skeet and target shooting, hunting, fishing, boat racing, car racing, the 24 hours of LeMans, which is car racing, but considered by purists a sport in itself, surfing, water polo, potato sack races, the soap box derby, hot dog eating contests, telephone booth and volkswagen stuffing, and just sprawling in front of my 48" TV in my bigass recliner with my beer and cheese curls, remote control stuck to my cheese colored fingers, perpetually flipping through the 600 block of DTV, looking for a score. Any Score. What's the score? Who's winning? Can they come back? Will they make the playoffs? Will Shaq and Kobe kiss and make up? Will Smarty Jones the wonder horse sire a Triple Crown winner? Will Pedro Martinez take Barry Bond's head off the first time they face each other? Will Brett Favre win another Super Bowl? Will Janet Jackson show me another boob?

Stay tuned... the answer to these and many other questions right after this important message from our sponsor.....

Besides, she bought me the chair.

Exactly. If we weren't supposed to be relaxing in front of the TV, why the recliner?? Huh??

Not a fan of baseball at all, really. But I want the RED SOX to win all the time. Especially when they play the Yank-mes.

I HATE THE YANKEES.

Yankees suck.

Actually, if I was Steinbrenner and my payroll was close to $200 mil, I'd have made them pay it all back after all but sewing up the LCS and then....dropping 4 as the crow flies to the Red Sox.

But that's old news. And they still suck.

Well,

I am a long suffering Texas Rangers fan. As far as the favorite player thing goes...it is hard to say this year.

As the late, great Mark Holtz used to say, "Hello win column!"

I've been a Twins fan since the days of Harmon Killebrew. Now I'm a Tori Hunter fan. Great Center Fielder.

Rayder...is there any A's fan whose favorite player isn't Byrnes? I think Oakland would have made a huge mistake trading him away. He isn't the best ball player, but no one gives more to the team.

i'm stuck in a time warp.

without the brooklyn dodgers, there is no baseball, just a bunch of millionaire junkies playing on plastic grass.

Yankees. Tino Martinez has been my favorite player since he replaced Donny baseball. The yanks would've been beter served to keep him a few years back then get that freak Giambi.

Randy Johnson is also awesome. I sense another world championship....

I'll add "if not sooner because Kevin Brown will meltdown by July, and Mussina will be on the DL by September.

I'm a 'no longer suffering Red Sox fan'. A championship is such a good feeling, I truly hope everyone gets a chance to experience it with their team.

Best moments in my life.

#1 Birth of my Son

#2 Red Sox winning The Series

#3 The day I married my wife

She fully understands that she takes 3rd. I explained I "knew" the Red Sox longer.

Fave- Curt Schilling, for his gutty performance in the playoffs and his penchant for speaking his mind.

Won't matter. That happened last year and the yanks STILL finished first and now they have the best lefty in the league. This is gonna be a sad year for all you yankee haters out there 🙂

Guilty as charged for being a Yankee Hater all these years. The Yanks are the favorite to win it all. Imagine if they don't, it will be a HUGE disappointment.

I now have a basball sense of humor, since the end of last season.

Play ball!
