I smoked one of Avo Uvezian's great cigars this morning for the first time in over a year, and I had forgotten how great they really are! The Avo I smoked was a Petite Belicoso, and it reminds me that I have gotten into "bargain" cigars too often and need to go back to the main humidor more often (that one houses all of my really good cigars)!!!!! I recently revisited Avos as well, and I've been on an Avo kick ever since. They are better with a few months (or more) of age, but their regular line is great: mild to medium but very flavorful. Their Domaine #50 is an excellent medium body smoke with a subtley spicy Ecuadorian sungrown wrapper and you can get great deals on 5-packs at CB. Smoked a maduro torpedo a couple weeks ago: like smoking a chocolate bar for 1.5 hours. Excellent!

My first box of premium cigars was the AVO #7. Since then, AVO has always been one of my go-to cigars. I just picked up some Belicosos & #2 through CigarBid. The Domaines are nice as are their Signature series. Yet, their regular line is my favorite. I usually shy away from using descriptive terms for a cigars taste (ie. leathery, earthy, etc.); however, most of the regular AVOs have that "nutty" taste to them. Very destinctive. Like the man, AVOs are a class act.

As far as the AVO goes, it has long been one of my favorites and one of my "go to" premiums as well, but my point was that I have gotten so use to smoking "everyday" cigars and I sort of neglect those really great cigars like AVO, CAO and others in that class! Long story short, just ordered a box of AVO XO Intermezzo's! Charlie

Hmmmmmmm... I am going to have to dig around in the Humidor when I get back home... I recall seeing a few of the Avo's lying around somewheres in there... them puppy's will have some age on them tooo!!!!

AVO XO was the cigar that got me hooked on the whole habit. I have some XO's and Domain's I won at Cbid in the humi right now but haven't been able to win any maduro. I still have an aversion to paying too much.

I've never had an Avo cigar, but I have an Avo No. 3 in my humidor right now that I am waiting for the opportunity to smoke (a time when I will have a couple of hours to spare- the thing is a monster).

I still have a few of the AVO Domain Maduro, the perfecto(#4?) and the torpedo. They are wonderful smokes, rich and full bodied and aren't that expensive. Thanks for reminding me that I had them Charlie. Barry

I recall reading a "top ten" cigar list by various well known cigar manufacturers. The AVO XO Intermezzio came up on many of their top-ten lists along side the Opus Xs, Cubans, Pdron Anniversarios, etc.

Avo was my first premium as well, and it is still one of my favorite go-to cigars. Tons of creamy smoke, never a bad draw, reasonable for the quality. It's one of the first premiums I mention to new smokers to try.

While I prefer the AVO XO Intermezzo, I can't find any around here.. so I've substituted the #2 instead. It's a great cigar although I just found cbid so I got a huge assortment of 5 packs of various of types. I used to pay ~$6 each for them.. the #2 is 6x50 and has a great cap, tons of creamy buttery smoke. when it gets sharp near the badn set it down for a bit and it'll come back to life. also I torch the ash w/ my colibri and wait about 3-4 minutes. I smoke them till I HAVE to put them out..
