Welcome to Louisville. I've lived in Louisville my whole life. There are a couple of places that come to mind. Downtown, there is Forth Street Live (a group of bars, restaurants, etc...). Go to the Makers Mark bar and the bowling alley. Both are cigar friendly (after a certain time – I’m not sure what time?). This area is going to have a lot of pressure on it over the Derby. The waterfront park is a great place to kick back on a sunny day and have a cigar. For out of the way places (if there is such a place during Derby week) go to the Highlands (just east of Downtown - get on Broadway and head east - when you get to Bardstown road you are in the Highlands). There are numerous bars on this road and most if not all are cigar friendly. If you are looking for a pint of beer go to the Cumberland Brewing Co. (south on Bardstown Rd. - this is also a restaurant so I don't know if they allow cigar smoking before a certain time - not a big deal as you can sit out front and indulge). There are so many great bars on this road that you could spend your whole week exploring them all. Another great place for a pint is the Bluegrass Brewing Co. (BBC). This is located in St. Matthews (further east of downtown). This is a great cigar friendly restaurant/bar. I'm pretty much up there every Thursday indulging in a pint and a smoke. I could go on and on. If you would like more suggestions please feel free to e-mail me at
