Nice job Jennifer. You started to sweat the impending marriage so you decided to jet and you told no one. You needed "time alone". Then, you make up a story that you were snatched off the street by kidnappers. Let's see? Young woman goes out for a jog, doesn't come back, boyfriend gets nervous, calls the police, and America goes on high alert to find her.

Well Jen, did it ever cross your mind even once that with the rash of actual kidnappings and murders that have been happening across the USA lately that there was a possibility you were going to panic to your family and friends? That your actions would set off a massive police investigation, expending already strapped resources that could have been put to better use investigating ACTUAL CRIMES? That the entire nation would hold it's collective breath while saying silently "Oh no, not another one..."

We all understand how your emotions could get the best of you right before 600 relatives and guests fly into town to watch you vow to make a mistake. All you had to do was say it's over. They would understand.

I want to personally thank the agents and detectives who wasted hundreds of hours of their valuble time looking for you and I would beg that they stay just as focused and dedicated the next time someone actually gets kidnapped.

Funny Thing is, . . . The family was to fly out to ABQ today to go get her and bring her home. They cancelled their flight reservation . . .

Not sure why they cancelled, but after the news broke that she was not kidnapped, soon after I looked and saw that they decided against a western reunion. There were 7 family members scheduled to go out and get her. I have no other details . . . Bizarre, ain't it?

mental health... a modern epidemic?

Her fiance must be thanking his lucky stars that she did this now, rather than later.

I read today that they took his computers and were analyzing the hard drive looking for clues. He even submitted to a (private) polygraph. The photo showed everyone crying and he just looked pissed off.

I see him as a very lucky man to be rid of this problem now, before it had a chance to ruin his life.

I, for one, would like her to repay all the tax dollars wasted looking for her.

I saw that after the news broke that she had lied about being kidnapped, that the Passenger Name Record for the Reservation to ABQ, showed that 7 family members were to fly out to ABQ to get her. There were remarks about how to make sure that every courtesy was given to the family, then, the remarks stated that we refunded the 7 fares . . . I had not been paying attention to the story until last night, and when I heard that she had Eight Bridal Showers and Fourteen Brides Maids, I knew something was screwey about this chick . . .

I think it's a testiment to our stupidity that we actually allowed this story to progress. Is there nothing more important going on in the world that we need to focus on this?

First it was Scott Peterson, then Schiavo, no Michael Jackson.........I bet Fox and CNN are saying to themselves, "crap, this was going to be the big one....the one to keep the minds off of the war."

Meanwhile, people are dying in Togo..........

I'm a Jim Beam and 7up guy myself. You don't need to buy one for me, but maybe one day we can share one together. If you ever find yourself in Asia, let me know, I'm usually running around here somewhere.

With all the Americans who recently lost business's and all their possesions in floods at home and are only offered low interest loans (not "FREE" tsunami money) to rebuild, whatshisname wants us to feel sorrow for people in toga? Yeah right.

JonR

Ps: Do you think china will send us money to rebuild like they did for the tsunami victims, hmmm I wonder how much china did send to the tsunami victims.

Tobi,

I'm glad you understood my point. It's a shame the way our media focus is on anything besides what is REALLY going on in the world. As Americans, we are so caught up in reality tv shows, that the biggest and best one out there (the actual WORLD) is missed.

We put all of our energy into some broad that ran away from her husband and miss the fact that democratic elections that we are financing (the one in Togo for example) are being destroyed by militants.

We pursued Togo for years to accept democracy, pumped hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars into the country in free aid, and when they had free elections, their military went in, stole the ballot boxes, and killed the voters.

Meanwhile some dumbass is busy slamming me and my fellow thinking people and doesn't even realize it's his taxpayer money that is being used, not mine.

Oh well, I guess God watches over fools after all.

Jet,

I'm not sure, but I would assume so. I've never seen that show. I don't think I'm missing too much though am I?

Tonight I attended a conference on tunneling through the Bering Straight. There's been some guys trying to figure out how to build a bridge across if for a few years.......the tunnel sounds better. I think I'll do some reading up on it........either that or watch American Idol.

Very Cool Adroomi ... would love to hear more about the tunnel. I mentioned the American Idol, because it is your Reality TV times 100 . . . it is the subject of so many People Magazine Articles and Entertainment Tonight Seems to Devote a Segment on it every nite ... I know that it is on every breakroom TV here at the Airport on night shift . . . I have to agree with you that shows like these contribute to the dumbing down of America . . .
