Last night around 8 PM, Pacific time, I logged on to check out some bids and the "New Msgs:" count, on the home page, was at 668, but as I type this it's at 602.

I'm curios if the count goes down do to 18 month old threads getting the axe or for some other reason?

I believe that's "new messages" in the last 24 hours? So naturally it would always change.
