up until now maslow's hierarchy of needs has never crossed my mind. i never heard of it and thanks for the new information.
i have always thought that the man that gets up in the morning and goes to a job he hates because he wants to provide for his family, as a real hero, a man of substance. he grinds and hopes the week will end before his money does.
how does that make my "call the station to complain before they call their representative or senator to complain about serious issues" less truthful.
i didn't see humor as a relief mentioned in the pyramid unless novelty is his refrence to humor, and i take exception to some of his order of needs.
for example i put love before safety. if a wife or child were in a burning building most husbands would go into the fire.
i understand the phrase self-actualization but that is contrary to what you have said. "the average person does a good job simply surviving the day," when would the average perso have time to reach any potential.
