I invite you to attack me. There seems to be quite a few posts outlining the childish, moronic, abusive, non-american, off topic, etc... prattle. It seems that some, and I will not name names, feel that their posts are not recieving enough, or are receiving hostile follow ups. Gentle ribbing, playful jesting, and just plain ol exuberant posting appears to be taken the wrong way.
Therefore, I offer myself, freely, to be attacked, marred, dragged through the mud, and so forth. If I may, I will offer a few tib-bits about myself that might help you.

I live alone, I have a cat, I fall asleep to the Game Show Network, I swerve out of the way of squirrels, I take two hours to grocery shop, my favorite ice cream is Chubby Hubby, and Coffee Coffee, Buzz Buzz Buzz, I'm lazy, judgemental, and afraid of heights. Oh, and I don't like spiders.
Have at it.

Heck... I've been called "feminine" because I keep a cigar journal or diary or whatever the hell you want to call it. I ain't gonna lose sleep over it. I ain't gonna insult you or flame you Delarob..... as far as I'm concerned you're a stand up guy. I treat people here on the internet the same way I do in person. Anonymity shouldn't mean that you treat people rudely.... but some folks are just crass to begin with and the anonymity just adds to their bravado. To quote a famous movie line "stupid is as stupid does".

You sound pretty normal to me too... a bit dull... but normal. I think hawkeye has the right idea though. Maybe if you post that your favorite cigar is really Swisher Sweets and that you collect Lars art with all the money you save avoiding those icky expensive cigars you'd have a good slam page runnin'. Hello to your cat from mine.

It's kind of funny that when you offer yourself up to ridicule everyone shuts up... Just to be different, anyone who has a cat sucks, not because I hate cats, but because they screw with my allergies!

Too many folks either don't recognize sarcasm or simply don't understand it. Statements are often taken the wrong way. But to directly attack someone or the whole group is completely bogus. Especially when the offender is new to this board. I don't believe in strict unwritten rules or an initiation period, but when you don't know the folks and you slam them you are speaking out of turn. Thank you Delarob for bearing the burden with this post. Oh, and I swerve to hit cats...

Prattle, had to look that one up. Really don't see how you can use "prattle" and "ol" in the same paragraph. But hey, its your thread. Honestly though, I really don't see why peolple have such a hard time with friendly verbal jousting. If you are malicious about it is one thing having fun is another.

P.S.
I hate cats and spiders. Anyone here like veal?

When Jackie Leason did his show out of Miami he was always looking for a new gimmick that would get laughs. He viciously pounded on his writers for new material. One them had the idea to bring an elephant on stage and park it behind Gleason as he rattled off one-liners. Elephants were readily available at any one of the wintering circuses near Miami. Gleason loved the idea and okayed it for the next show. That night after Gleason received lukewarm laughs for his his first jokes, the elephant emerged from the curtain behind him as he took a sip of coffee. The audience stirred and whispered but hardly anyone laughed. Gleason continued throwing out jokes to an audience that was now more curious than amused. Gleason cut his monologue short and called on the first act. Backstage he was ready to kill the elephant, then the writers. "It just didn't work," one of the writers said. "It would have," Gleason said, "We just didn't get a funny elephant."
