Is it true that cigar bands got their start as lacy covers to keep tobacco stains off ladies' fingers?

I once read that cigars are bigger (in size) than cigarettes any truth to that. JonR

I smoked a Double Happiness Tranquility this morning with some iced coffee. It had been one of a 5-pack I threw in the igloo after bidding on it in error a few months ago. I gave one away. For some reason I felt brave enuff to try one for the first time this morning before I have to rush off to work. Stay tuned for the surprising review. (I know you can't wait.)

Sounds like something you'd pick up at an Asian Starbucks...

Double Happiness sounds like 2 hookers 4 the price of one. X

Monica should've used that lacy cover to keep away the stains.

I think el was overcome by the horrific taste. I bought a box unfortunately. However, they were the tubos and they did come in a rather nice humidor qaulity box. The cigars are now mulch, and the tubes are being transfered into a nifty spice rack!

As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, this friggin cigar was well constructed. It had a dark tan wrapper that was somewhat oily and toothy. I didn't see any prominent veins, but I wasn't wearing my reading glasses. It lit easily and burned very even all the way to the band. Yes, I smoked it that far. It had a generous-enough volume of smoke, with a pleasant aroma. Almost no taste, for the first third, then it began to develop somewhat, with some damp straw undertones. No chocolate, no coffee, no burnt orangepeel. Never developed any real power, so you could smoke it standing up. I can see how somebody might like it. Not my taste, but tastes vary. I figured it for 100% dogrocket going in, but would have to give it a high marks for construction and appearance.
