Anyone else in the area attending the Maguire AFB airshow this year? It's next weekend. Blue Angels will be there.

No, but the Blue Angels are in our town this weekend. Starting today. If you want to make the trip, the air show is in Willow Grove, PA. The wife and I will be watching from the comfort of our back yard. They try to clip our roof so it is a good seat.

Very cool Dave. Every year I say I'm going to Willow Grove, but other plans alway come up. Including this year. Thanks for the invite...perhaps next year.

I'm having a cup of coffee later with the guy who used to announce at the Blue Angels Airshows. I'm giving him a few smokey treats for his birthday.

He's a Leiutenant Commander in the Navy. He was their Supply Officer for a few years and the guy is a natural behind a microphone. He shoulda been a DJ.

Lonestar is putting on a cocert on the base this evening. If it drys up and warms up a little, we might go over. Bud, better try this year, they are on the list to be shut down.

The planes are here and flying over my office building. The windows are rattling, they are so low.

We live about a mile from the base---and on the flight path. We have a great view without having the crowds at the base. This, I might actually miss when we move. But maybe not... I was only a block away from the F14 when it crashed a few years ago. I could see the pilots as they flew over me and then went down. It was horrible. It was very scary and I have never really gotten over it.

The "CONCERT" is tonight.

The air show is here and my daughter is sick of it already. And it has 2 more days. I think it is cool. The Blue Angels were flying right over us again. They are so beautiful to watch. The precision is amazing.

I wish we could have invited some people over for a herf and to watch and enjoy it, but getting ready for the move has taken over. 4 more days until settlement. YEAH!

Love to watch the Angels, greatest aviators in the world!!!!

They are a Navy team and always have at least one Marine pilot on the team!

I think they are on break now. It got quiet. They are scheduled for Sat. and Sun. too. They are way cool. We can see right in the cockpit from our deck.

Sorry to say Rick but we weren't even born when you were here. LOL.

They have upgraded it a lot. I am sure it is a lot nicer now.

The planes got quiet and then the fireworks started---for almost an hour. We couldn't see them because of the trees but they sounded nice.

Gates open at 8:30.

I love fireworks again. I had never seen anything like this before. They actually have the fireworks coming out of the planes. It is awesome. If you have never seen it before just picture those boring ones shooting up from the ground. Take them and have them doing circles over top of your head. They take the straight up line of sparks and twist them around and make a circle of sparks. You gotta see it.

I missed them. That's right---you were watching the fireworks while I was washing the dishes.
