1 is voom and it doesn't do anything. one is dish that picks up 2 dish satellites. the third one is dish which has bought the voom satellite and now will pick up the voom channels.
the satellites are in different parts of the sky so we point our rabbit ears everywhere at once. as a channel change is made the box picks the signal it needs to receive that channel.
we do have a flat 36" screen panasonic vega with 1081 lines of resolution.
when we watch hi-def, we lose top and bottom like the wide screen dvds. when we watch non hi-def we lose the sides also.
to compensate for that we run the non hi-def through the vcr.
there is hi-def ad there is hi-def. some of the channels run old movies through a hi-def signal but it is not really hi-def.
the specialty channels like equater, travels around the world, and gallery, through museums and art galleries, blow the mind with color.
we use an onkyo surround sound system, with a good size base woofer and watching and listening to the ride of the valkyries from apocalypse now kicks ass.
