Newbie Intro

Sorry I should have introduced myself before I started posting so frequently (how rude).

Above is a picture of my wife and I on our wedding day (3-5-05).

My name is Steve; her name is Daimee (like Jamie but with a “D”).

She encourages me to smoke in the house (gota love that).

I spent 20+ years smoking anything that would burn then a few years ago someone gave me my first “good” cigar, an Onyx and I have been learning more ever since.

Like most of you my tastes run the gambit of good cigars, I can light up a nice mellow 5 Vegas Gold in the morning and have a rich RP Vintage for my after dinner desert.

I’m a Navy Veteran and I went ashore the day the Marine Barracks was attacked in Beirut. She worked in the WTC and was in the building the day the planes hit; to say we have terrorist issues would be an understatement.

I know my posts on here may not sound like it, but I am a right leaning moderate not a hard-core right winger. I’m a pro-choice gun owner, I have no political home.

I have already had some great exchanges with a lot of you guys and gals and I look forward to more of the same.

And thanks for the great Cigar advice.

One question…… is there a 12 step program for this place; I think I’m starting to have a problem? 🙂

They really should have a 12 step program---some of us are addicted. LOL.

There IS a 12-step program ...

Step 1. Buy some 5-packs of cigars

Step 2. After learning you can save on shipping, buy 5-packs in quantity.

Step 3. Add a box to the mix

Step 4. Buy a second humidor

Step 5. Multiple boxes

Step 6. Time for a coolerador

Step 7. Add specials from (name of competitor deleted) to CBid purchases

Step 8. Participate in a box-pass, discover some new favorites

Step 9. Buy some of those new favorites

Step 10. Buy another humidor

Step 11. Discover MORE new favorites

Step 12. Time for a second coolerador

We live NJ, on the Jersey Shore

My future bother in-law and I want to make the pilgrimage to the great warehouse in the sky. We just haven’t managed to get there yet.

Thanks to each of you for the welcoming

I'm in Old Bridge.

In some states we'd be considered neighbors. In our car infested state, it would take about an hour to travel the 25 miles between us!

Sorry for the sarcasm, I'm a transplant from central CT and some bitterness still remains...

LOL

I didn’t realize it was sarcasm, I thought you where just stating the facts. Your right in most other states they would say “I just live up the road from you” here there are about a quarter of a million people between us maybe more. Actually that is one of the many reasons we’re thinking of heading out of state, to many damn people and it cost WAY to much to live here.

Bloody

My older bother was a kid at camp when Jane was the big thing (no pun intended) (ok maybe some pun intended)

He told the camp counselors Jane was our Aunt and he would introduce them to her at the end of the summer.

He lied.
