I just recieved some exciting news and I want to share with everyone. Chris (EODUSMC) has been selected for GySgt. He doesn't even know, as of yet, because he is out in the field and won't be home until 6:oo p.m. I just wanted to tell him and everyone how incredibly proud I am. Congrats to you baby !!! OOHRAH !

Way cool!! "7" is a really important step (I retired as a 7). How many years active duty does he have in? Congratulations Chris!!

Congrats, my brother in arms. '7' is a huge step in the Navy. '8' just meant I got paid more...

But to be honest, in the Marine Corps they treat their E-6's much better. Promotion to E-6 (Staff NCO) is just like Promotion to E-7 (Chief) in the Navy so things probably won't be too much different for him... except where PAY is concerned. You earned it, enjoy it!

Outstanding. We're all proud. Leadership is a huge responsibility. He'll enjoy the challenge. Bravo!!

Congrats!!!

i'm home. i just found out. thanx everyone. 10 yrs active.

Congrats eodusmc!

Job well done my brother.

Later.....Erik

Chris, hooahhh! When I was in, the e-7s seemed really old....just kidding! LOL 10 years seems rather fast to me. What are you smoking tonight?

Probably smoking one of my Father's Day presents. Edge maduro by RP.

Good for you! I see ya didn't bite on the old thing...LOL Congrats agian! hope it doesn't go to your head and you forget about all us little people! Take care, Bill
