I thought I'd give one of these a try tonight. IMO, overpriced, tight draw, flavor was medium in body, slightly spicey but young. On the up side it had a great ash and some humidor time couldn't hurt. Anyone else try these and care to voice an opinion? Barry

Barry: I enjoyed a robusto XV this morning with a cup of coffee and the Sunday Chronicle. Second one out of a box I got a few weeks ago. I know what you mean by spicy and the fine, white ash. I paid under $4, so I can't agree with over-priced. There was something that reminded me of a Bauza. I also thought I made a bad choice to smoke it early in the day. Would have been better with a Tecate to wash down the after-work road dust.

mhollowa, I had the corona and I think I had to pay $6 for it. If I can get some in a diff. size a little cheaper I'll give them a 2nd chance. I think that the tight draw bothered more than the price. It made it hard to concentrate on the flavors. Barry

Smoked a couple Cohiba Extra Vigoros's (5/50) I like em, not as spicy as a Partagas Black Label but an excellent after dinner cigar. Nice ash easy draw smoked cool you must have had one rolled alittle tight. I would buy again. JonR

On the tight draw, I agree. Nothing ruins a cigar -- good or bad -- sooner. I use a bamboo skewer run carefully about half way in. If that doesn't work, I just give up. I've disected a couple of these dowel rods and found the problem is often a smaller roll of leaves near the center. That starter roll is always tight but surrounded by looser construction. I don't know anything about rolling cigars -- I rolled many a joint, though -- and starting from the inside and working out was a trick to build a big smoke.

Drew Estate Egg; example of people who never learned to roll a joint. Ever try the Cheech and Chong rolling paper? LOL Barry

Closer to the border you could get books of sugar cane rolling paper...probably a weak substitute for cherry-flavored panties...wish I'd known some funky women.
