The Dems are masters of projection. They are guilty of pretty much everything they accuse Republicans/conservatives of.

I'd appreciate a citation to that quote. It appears that it was never said in either that tone or manner, nor using the word "libs." What every Democrat and Republican has said; and I paraphrase, is that they will not support the nomination of a candidate to the Supreme Court who they feel will not properly serve the nation.

Rugrunner....Quotes are appropriate, when they are accurate and there's a citation; otherwise, it's just irrational revisionist pandering.

Doesn't matter the context, the meaning is there and Teddy Kennedy is still a disgrace to public office! He has abused power for his entire time in Public office and is nothing more than a murdering, drunkard and a big crook to boot!

We expect that kind of statement from Teddy!

Steve*R, I did hear Kennedy say it. If you look at my post I wrote "if the President abuses his power". There is a reason for those little marks " "(I think the are called quotation marks). They are used to show the reader what is inside is a quote. What isn't inside isn't a quote. BTW I heard him on ABC radio news while driving home. I do not remember his entire statement verbatim that is why I used the funny little marks ( "" ) on the portion I could accurately quote. I also wrote the rest in a manner that makes it rather obvious that I’m paraphrasing him other then the quoted (“ “) part. I wonder if the still have those big RIF(reading is fundamental)Vans? They went around teaching kids reading skills. If they still have them one might be in your area soon!(c;

In other words, if the President dares to nominate somebody Ted Kennedy and his cronies don't like it will be an abuse of the President's power.

What cracks me up is this.

How does Ted Kennedy know what the public wants before he opens up his piehole? He comes out almost instantly with his negative remarks about ANYTHING the president does.

He couldnt possibly know what the public thinks. There isnt enough time between what GWB says and what he spews!

For those that want to see and hear Senator Kennedy say it, go to Foxnews homepage and click on "Video" on the banner of links at the top. Then click on "Politics" on the left and in there you will find the video of his "warning" to the President.

I have a sister. Growing up her two favorite things to say were "life's not fair" and "that's not fair"(Steve*R, those mean what’s in 'em is a quote again) depending on if mom gave her the only cookie or someone else the only cookie. Even as a kid I saw this as odd. I would ask her about it and she would deny it, call me names, and finally run away for the conversation. She still has a Wellstone sticker on her car. I still have my pic of an elephant peeing on the word liberals.... who'd a thunk it?
