i bid on these and cant believe how awful they are!!!anyone have the same experience? They are so awful i am going to toss them

I got mine yesterday. Tried the first one last night and have to say that it was not a pleasent experience. Burned very hot and had trouble keeping it lit. Threw it away and tried a second, improved a little. Sure hope the rest aren't like the first.

Are you guys talking about the bundles of 'Scouts' that were up for $19? I won a box awhile back ... and they was great. Gave half the box away at work, and received lots of favorable comments ...

I hope the bundles are the same ... but I won't know until next Thursday. That's when USP shows usually shows up with my packages ...

One other note: They are definately a pretty strong little cigar. If you are not accustomed to smoking 'fuller-bodied' cigars, then this one maybe be a little on the strong side for many ...

Do not throw them away. Lay them down in your humi for a few months or send them to me for free analysis (trial by fire).

they were the closeout cameroon scouts. i welcome a fullbodies cigar but these were down right road kill.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. That's the wonderful thing about cigars and different people's preferences ... very subjective. Just like the tastes in foods, beverages and women, even the type of car one drives ... everyone will have different tastes ...

Gotta throw in my two cents here along with Slim. -- Definitely true that many of the more full bodied smokes out there could be considered "RANCID" by those who are more accustomed to the milder varieties. -- Not saying that your batch might not be green, or worse ;o) -- But I agree with the other guys that you should NEVER toss a cigar you paid good money for until you let it slumber in your humidor for a few months or longer -- My old man taught me that years ago -- In fact, he was and still is such a cheap ass, that he buys unpopular batches from his local shop on closeout and ages them for months and sometimes YEARS! -- I have seen many a dog turd, become something to write home about after aging.

This Indian Tabac (Belicoso) was listed as a Scout size (short torpedo) measuring 4.5" x 52.
What I got was barely 4.5" with a 48 ring size. They should know better than that and this may be the last time they pull that stunt on me. I've never seen a belicoso so small. Is it going to plump up to a 52 ring if I box it for a few months?

For a bundled cigar, sold at a discount, I don't get too worked up if the cigar doesn't smoke like a cuban Monte. I've smoked one so far, and while it wasn't rancid, awful, or not burn right, it wasn't the best that I've had either. However, it did show promise, and a good rest should do it fine. My coolerdor seems to keep humidity towards the higher end, and I'll store them in there, as they seem to be a little on the dry side.

bminner ... nobody's trying to pull a stunt on you. Haven't you ever heard of a short beli? Try the Estavan Cruz 'Short Cruz' ... it's considered a belicoso. While they try to to their best to get the descriptions correct to the best of their ability, some discrepancies do occur. They are going by what the manufacturer say it is. After all, they are dealing with hundreds of cigars and merchandise. I'm sure it was not done on purpose to fool anyone ...

Hi guys trhis is rocky from Indian tabac. The belicosos you smoked are the scouts nad we have not changed a thing about them. Still filled with all longfiller from the DR and the wrappper is cameroon. I just smoke threee different cigars from three different bundles and boxes that were shipper to cigar bid and they tasted great.

Hi its Rocky from Inidan tabac. Surprised you got sa bad cigar or two because I can gurantee nothing has changed and they are the same cigar we used to make with the same wrapper and filler. The only difference is the cigar has been aged longer. Just smoked three different ones myself and they burned well and smoked great. Bettter luck with the rest of them. Please let me know. We really pride ourselves on using the best tobbacos and work hard on providing a quality product to you. Goood Luck.

Good to hear from you Rocky, wow, what great follow-up. As you can read from my post last week, I had a bad experience out of the gate with my first one. Smoked five since and all have been well constructed. Love the taste but they do smoke a little hot... but I'm used to larger cigars. Guess I'll have to pamper it a bit. Overall a nice cigar. Thanks again for checking in Rocky, don't be a stranger!

mine arrived yesterday ... I noticed that a few were rather dry and a couple were cracked ... I'm sure that's possibly due to their long transit period ... I put them carefully in the humidor and will monitor them for a while ... however, I couldn't resist bringing one to work with me today and smoked it at lunch ... good, but clearly a bit dry ... some humi-time will do them a lot of good ... burned a bit hotter than I'm used to as well, but I tend to think that's a result of it being a smallish size ...

Wow! That's pretty cool Rocky responding to threads about his cigars. You can't get a more definative answer than that.

I think Rocky should send our dissappointed friend some replacements! Don't you ?
