ugh !!

color me dry (although in earlier days, I used to get them wet too) ... I've learned that one should take long enough between puffs that the cigar dries out ... it stays far cooler and is far more pleasurable ...

Well, I have been smokin em for 25 years and part of the pleasure for me is the chompin part! -- I am not alone-- Churchill was a chomper too! :o)

I know ... I was a wet one for quite a while too, probably as long as you ... but a few years ago, I found I actually like 'em a lot better dry ...

I don't think I am capable of the DRY approach -- It feels like an unwillingness to COMMIT to the act of true love! ;o)

*smile* ... love those cigars, either way ... if I get goin' on a good one, I sometimes forget myself and get chawin' on it a bit too much ... I'm leavin' work now and will take my time gettin' to the train ... gonna smoke an Onyx Mini Belicoso and smile at all the pretty girls on the street (if I were more PC, I'd say women, but bein' the neanderthal that I am, even all the very attractive females who're more than 35 are still girls) ... it'll be a good 4th of July holiday ... hope yours is good also.

Oh yeah! --Taking the rest of the week off eh? -- good for you! -- I've got too much going on work wise and my better half has to work Friday, so the 4th is my only holiday off this week.

Can't get off of the course with a dry one! When it gets down aways I just keep it in my mouth the whole time I'm teeing off. My best friend always cracks up when I do that. If I'm at home outside on the lanai, then I'd say 95% of the time it's dry.

Dry all the way...I have never held a cigar in my mouth for longer than two or three seconds (except for when I had to pee while at work..nice thought..LOL)..I hate it when the cut end gets soggy...It starts tasting like @#$% at that point and I then have to clip it (sometimes causing the cigar to unravel)

I like it dry as well, from what I've heard the soggy approach changes the flavor towards the end since the wet tobacco can pick up more of the smoke than dry tobacco. And from my experience the change in flavor is usually for the worse, giving the cigar more of a bitter / acrid taste. Also, the flavor changes since your chewing on and tasting the tobacco, instead of just enjoying / tasting the smoke. But that's just me... Chris

Sounds like a baited question...I'll let X go for this one...there's just too many things to insert here (HEHEH)! I like mine dry, never actually HAD a wet one. Maybe it's my beginner's luck?

I like mine so you can just barely hear a crinkle when you apply a little gentle pressure. But that's just me....

I like mine tight and slimey wet...wait,oh ya, we were taking about cigars. I try 2 keep it as dry as possable. I put Gar in my mouth only 2 puff on it. X

There's a lot of flavor in the wrapper, so I like it moist but not chewy. I agree with Steve, a wet end heats the smoke, which is not what I'm after. Anyway, my wife says cigars are okay but she'll divorce me if I ever started chewing, dippin' and doing more than just looking...

dry. I hate when people i know tongue the sh*t down and then you have a filthy dripping slobber stick to share(if i share).

If I am concentrating on the cigar then it stays dry, if I am concentrating on something else (yard work...etc) it can get slobbery. I do prefer them dry.

Well, I tend to keep the cigar in my mouth a lot since often times I am doing other things.

Especially when I am down at the beach flying my dual line stunt kites. I tend to resemble Telly Sivalas in "Battle of the Bulge" ;o)
