Torch quit working on again didn't it.Well I'm sittin here I've got six of those cheapie Blazer type knockoffs.Seems about once a month one of em goes tits up,sometimes it's just an adjustment of the screw in the bottom.

Sometimes they are spewin a funky flame beacause of buildup inside the torch chamber and you'll usually just toss the fuggers in a drawer or out the truck window when you really want a cigar and the damn thing quits working at a critical moment.

Well I'm sittin here with three of em now not working properly and I look over at the can of butane,
Hmmmmmmm?

Here's the fix.Simply try to light the thing if there a flame blow it out, insert the can of butane upside down into the ceter of the torch chamber(little circle that the flame comes out of)and give it 4 or 5 good blasts of Butane.Presto all three are working beautifully!

Safety tip: Let the lighter and your hands thuroughly dry off(about ten minutes)before you try and light the damn thing OK! Like I said all three are woking beautifully,as I sit here thinking,Ya know?hair on the back of your knuckles and hands is really overrated if you ask me...LOL

thanks for the tip Jim. that sudden realization that your hand is on fire is a good indicator that you didn't wait long enough!

For a much safer version switch out the butane can with a can of copressed air, the same find used for cleaning computer keyboards and cameras. I've been doing this for years and my prometheus lights like a dream every time!
