OK, we used to do this. The vets would sign up and we would then match them up with a noob. Most of the folks from that era are gone but if you guys are interested I will coordinate. I'll dig up the old guidelines if we get a decent response. There is a thread like this on cw that has lived forever it seems.

No FNG response on this thread please.

Let me credit smithbw with the original.

and here come the questions of "how long does it take for you to not be an FNG anymore?"

(by the way bass, the smokes for the NFL pool are going out tomorrow)

I'm still pretty new (only been smoking cigars a few months). I'd like to know more about this...

Oh... the "noob trades" portion of the title made me think this was like a vet/noobie thing... Now I'm thinking it's more of a vets only thing... Sorry if I intruded. 🙂

This is for Vets to show an interest.

Which is why it says no FNGs.

Carry on.

Here is what Hensed had to say.

Here is a short excerpt so if you meet these requirement

First let me start off by telling you what we are looking for in a veteran trader.

1. A veteran trader has a clean established trade history on the CBID boards.
2. A veteran trader has a diverse enough stash to be able to provide samplers across a reasonable spectrum of tastes and budgets.
3. A veteran trader needs to have a reasonable knowledge of cigars.

That’s it nothing real tough here most of you qualify or you wouldn’t be asking.

Now here is what we expect from a veteran trader.

1. Give more then you get.
2. Be patient with them they are newbies for a reason.
3. If you ask to be put into rotation we would like you to commit to 3 newbies.

Again that’s it no real surprises, except maybe number 3 we are asking this because it is so hard to recruit and maintain a pool of veterans and believe me the newbie pool never runs dry.

More to come.
