Been lurking here for weeks getting a feel for the board and learning a lot about gars. (Loved the dog pile on Slim while he was away and the pics of adroomi's latest conquest). Decided it was time to jump in and join in the fun.
I've smoked a few cigars previously but only in the past few months have I been smoking/buying seriously. Cigar bid hasn't done much for the wallet but I sure am havin fun. Favorite so far has been the AF Hemmingway line.

Really, the claw is my favorite part of the lobster, and spiny lobsters don't have claws. Consider changing your name to Maine Norman.

Which reminds me of an old Judy Garland movie. Anybody besides Rick get the (somewhat surreal) connection? Hint: James Mason.

Welcom aboard, Spiny.

Good taste Spiny, but I don't think you can afford for Hemingways to be your everyday smoke. There are a bunch of affordable and great cigars out there. You can get some great deals on C-BID.

Right, Jazz, and I don't think I have ever seen a Fuente go out for as low as MSRP.

Thanks Jazz. Yea I'm miserly with the Hemmingways. I was lucky enough to get a box of Short Stories for $103. Tough to keep my hands off em. So hard to find at that price, you just buy em when you find em and worry bout covering the check later. For everyday I've be smoking the PI #4's and 5 Vegas. Nice with a football game or after work at the bar. . Started a weekly herf with a couple of co-workers to compare notes. (heading there now).

I would delete that one if I could, GYO. Let's petition Gonz for an editor, maybe someone like Perry White.

Spiny, welcome and have fun, glad you decided to dive in. I also like the AF Hemi Line, but the Don Carlos Line has a bit more character for me.

Xrun got it. In "A Star is Born", the musical starring Judy Garland, c.1952, James Mason played her husband, the doomed Norman Main. Jack Carson was despicable (great acting job). Tommy Noonan chewed gum and played piano. Harold Arlen wrote a great score. Great old hollywood musical entertainment. If you can listen to Judy sing "The Man That Got Away" without getting goosebumps, well, I won't be able to understand that. Smoke an A size during this one.
