Not quite on topic here, but have any of you guys had any problems with your Xikar cutters?

The traditional all metal ones.

I'm on my secont set from xikar and I can't achieve a good cut that doesn't squeeze the hell out of the cigar.

My palio and zino cutters absolutely bury it.

Just after some opinions...On my regular forum about 90 percnt of the posts agreed with me and said that the cutter cut terribly and unevenly.

Any thoughts?

Return it to Xikar for sharpening,as they are guaranteed for life. BTW,I have had no trouble with mine. X

I got the MTX card and don't plan on buying one.

In regards to the X1 cutter...I've had one for over 4 years(bought here!)and it's still razor sharp as the day I got it. If ANYONE has had problems with theirs than they might be cutting tree limbs or fingers instead of cigar caps!

I've already returned it and they're asking me to return it a second time...the force it takes to close it is literally ridiculous and if I don't press heavily down while cutting it cuts "upwards" leaving the center of the cigar peaking towards the center and more often than not it tears the cap off.

Mine is doing the exact same thing(tunneling)!! Also the screws don't seem to hold tight so the blades don't quite close all of the way when I cut. Maybe I should return mine!!!

Well as I say, even after having read several applauding reviews on this cutter, I'm left wondering if it's just hype as I've heard a good amount of opinions from everyday experienced smokers, rather than product salesmen say that this cutter just doesn't cut well at all.
