I know I am gonna catch a ration of Sh*t for this comment, but oh well.. Just doing normal due diligence to my cigar habit/obsession I have looked around on a few other forums.. All I can tell you is I was not impressed with either the people or the quality of information.. People seemed to spend more time building there ego's at the expense of others rather than just truly helping people enjoy the cigar experience. I mean I even read a post that said, the reason the person hadn't gotten a decent answer to their question was because they had hadn't payed their dues buy posting enough in the forum. I mean COME ON !!! Isn't the idea of a forum to express your views but most of all to get your questions answered ?? Well anyways, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the friendly nature of posters on this forum. I mean everyone loves a good sarchastic remark, but all and all people are truly friendly and always willing to help.. Well that's my 2 cents... Let the sarchastic remarks fly...

dunno who'll you catch the flack from, but it won't be from me ... in fact, after having been on one or two of those others myself, I find myself in full agreement with you and completely on your side ... guess if there's any flack coming your way, it'll land on me too ...

I used to post on another forum quite often. But it seems that people here are much friendly and way more helpful. If you ask a question you might get some hazing but you'll also get an answer mixed in as well.

Just watch out for the Todog guy. He's mean. :o)

i assume you are talking about CA, and I agree, but despite the very small amount of action on the clubstogie forums, the people there are great. There are a lot of wonderful people on CA also, but some jerks also.

I think I know one of the sites that you are refering to. When I do visit there, I just read the postings and do not "add my 2 cents".

Personally, I don't need some pretentious twit to tell me that "I only smoke ISOM's and haven't smoked a domestic cigar since 19_ _ " Yeah right, and your sh*t is so refined that it's sold by the gram on the black market...

you might want to bear in mind, however, that inasmuch as this is a site whose host has established rules that you agreed to abide by which require that you do NOT mention those sites ... if you persist in expressing yourself in a manner that is against THEIR rules in THEIR forum, they have the right to delete your postings and to preclude your being able to post more ...

You know I haven't smoked a non-ISOM cigar in 25 year. And I only ever smoke cigars that are "earthy, with a hint of spice, notes of leather, cocoa & wood and a short finish". Now don't go thinking I'm a snob or anything but my poop don't stink.

I find this whole topic very distasteful.

I started posting here when this forum first started and have never gone anywhere else, I have always been satisfied with the people and topics here. I may disappear from time to time because of work, but I don't want to spread myself thin and just hang around here when doing cigar talk.

Though I'm one of the newer members in this forum, I find most regular senor members very helpful, informative, and knowledgeable. Some ribbing does occur here, but most are harmless, and are meant in fun. Hopefully, this forum remains that way.

For christ's sake, don't take it so dang seriously!!!!! Here's a suggestion: Walk to the closest humidor, pick out a stick, get your cutter and lighter, find a cushy place to sit back, then light up, puff, and RELAX.

I have never posted on a forum of any kind before this one.

The postings were just so funny, I couldn't resist.
