A freind asked me today where the best place to store a cigar if you don't have a humi? He said the fridge is best. But i do remember reading somewhere that frides will dry them out. Is that true, and where is the best place? I'll letting him use my tuppordor... but just for future reference.

unless you keep your fridge at 70 degrees the tupperdoor is probably better storage device.

No, no, no! Do not put them in the fridge, too cold and dry.

Just put them in a zip-loc or tupperwear.

I have a friend who has one of those built in refrigerated humidors along side his expensive wine wine cellar, but that was specially made to store cigars. I wouldn't trust it, but it seems to work for him.
As far as the regular 'frig, unless your cigars are dry cured, don't destroy your smokes. The frig will dry them out very quickly, unless of course you wrap them in lunchmeat (for a meatier flavor).
Get a larger tupperwarador.

R&R, tell your friend to just use a ziplock if he's not looking for long-term. As already mentioned, stay away from the fridge! Besides sucking your cigars dry, they'll begin to take on the funky flavors of your leftovers.

(Actually an improvement for Lone Wolfs.)

Tell your friend that you've got another friend that will let him use his humidor. See, I've got an insurance-like racket goin'. You send me your cigars, and I'll store them. When you need them back, I'll make it difficult, put you in voicemail hell, and drag the whole process til your cravings go away. Rest assured that they'll be properly stored though.

Go ahead, tell 'em
